Guy i know.
I asked 3 months ago, he said $4,000.
He called, needing cash and told me he would take $1500.
I told him I would give him $1440 and an old tail gate that fits one of his trucks, he said Ok.
I will get some pics up.
It runs great!

At the deal you got of course! I can not totally get amped up over the Ford in the video. It is darned impressive, but I am still part Chevy guy too. I love my Ford, but I have to say, I love my Chev too!

I am pretty happy with it, it has all new parts all over, I should have a great truck out of it.
The best part is the mpgs will let me drive it!
I love my 460, but it has only been driven 1,000 miles in the last year, it gets 5mpg
What kind of chevy do you have?

The truck is a 1985 K2500/K3500 with a 454, 4 speed and lockers front and rear, along with a lot of other stuff I put into it. I know what you mean about the mileage, about 7 mpg but It is totally unstoppable. I have put so much money into it that I would never recover if I sold it (that is what I tell the wife). My Diesel F-250 was awesome though.

nice truck! I don't get into the 454 vs 460 stuff, they both are about equal.

I am wanting to get 16-20 highway, which would make it the most fuel efficient thing I own.

I run 93-octane gas in my truck and the Cherokee, and at least with my truck, I notice improved mileage compared to 87 octane. Also seems to run better on 93. That's with a 302 and C6.
You said your truck runs pretty rich awhile back, you might tune the carb as good as you can and see if that helps.
Plus if you have any junk in the back, behind the seat, etc., get it all out and put up to save a little weight.
