I'm sure you could put something together that'd work. A big bucket with gas and diesel in it would serve the same purpose.

Well, I am going to have to do a full rebuild on that motor in the new truck I got.

Sorry to hear about your phone Josh.

I have never used a parts washer, just rags and carb cleaner.

Yep. I agree, much faster all around with the 3G. I love the GPS feature with it.

Went looking for my Torx wrenches earlier...I recalled seeing them in the driver-side door map pocket/storage area. So I went looking for them....found em, along with one of my distributor-bracket wrenches, a 3/8" drive-to-3/8" drive adapter attached to the same wrench, a short 3/8" drive extension, and a military battery clamp...

Plus my Optima's still got a full charge and it's in the 40s or 50s outside. Truck hasn't been ran since week before last when I ran out of gas again. lol

It was in the low 40s earlier today
1 crank and the truck started, no need to give it gas to prime the carb.

Did I mention I havent driven it in a week?

These old Fords will surprise you....mine's started in the dead of winter (20-30F temps) with no choke.

I suppose that could be at least somewhat due to the overly rich air/fuel mixture...good thing I'm going to get my choke working when I get my carb rebuilt.

It's gonna be weeeeeeiiiiiird.

Yes, but I haven't looked into it. Since you mentioned it, I'll give the auto stores a call tomorrow and see what they have.

I do want to see if I can get the electric one working though. I'm funny like that, I enjoy getting things working properly. :P
