My Optima battery has sat pretty much untouched and unused since July, and it just NOW is needing a charge. It's stayed above 12V the whole time, and the only reason it ran down lower (to 11.9V) is because I tried to start my truck in 55F weather to no avail...
I gave it a much-deserved charging with my trusty ol' 6 amp charger this evening. Fortunately, the battery wasn't the culprit. It has to be something else. The carb did sit for three or more years before I put it on my truck, so I can't expect it to be perfect. Plus the old Fords are cold-natured too.
That's a gorgeous car. How many cops did you have following in pursuit by the time you finished driving it? :P
