trans. went out on po, he said he wasn't fixing the blankity, blank thing and if I could get out of his sight in the next hour I could have it. One of my son's drive a tow truck and he was about 15 min. away. I really didn't think he would do it, he called his wife and told her to bring the title, 30 min. later the paperwork was in my name and truck was in my backyard

i love first generation Explorers, great machines.
Cologne V6 is indestructible, we never actually had a problem with out explorer for the 9 years we owned it.
and what a shame, lawns are meant to showcase your belongings. ...cars count in my mind haha

sadly, i had to give Rachel up about 7 months ago.
Insurance was killing us, gas was killing us, and my dad's business did not pick up, of course, until about a month after we sold her.
She's in a good home.
I am good friends with the New owner, he loves Ford, and when the Cash for Clunkers thing came around, he promised she would never set foot near a dealership.
She's still running strong, 199xxx miles on her, still no dents, scratches or any other imperfections.
Still the same beautiful truck I once owned

When did you see them do it to a car?

Saw a video of some C4C tradeins getting screwed up...one of them was a late 80s/early 90s F-Series with a 460....
The biggest shame of all, in my opinion at least, was a Jeep Cherokee 4.0L getting the C4C Death Sentence. Those 4.0Ls are tough as nails, yet the higher-ups don't care, all they care about is the money.
To give you an idea how tough and resilient they are, our Cherokee has 4.0L with 212K on the clock....it'll still jerk your head back if you even accidentally goose it taking off from a stop sign.
EDIT: I saw a couple cars, there's some vids on YouTube of it.
