Have you guys ever noticed that the limp hand shakers are usually the ones with clammy hands? Ack!
So Pat was this woman the first one you've ever had give you a firm handshake in return?
Another one that bugs me is when I go to shake another woman's hand and she gives me only her fingertips. WTF? Who are you the queen of England?

Truthfully Lisa.. I still didnt give the "full handshake" I told you, I am old school..
For that matter, I was very proud of my Son and Nephew Monday, they kind of pushed their way past me to open a door for a Lady..Poor girl looked like she was into her last month..never mind month, she should have been counting hours before birth.

We're gonna put this to the test at RRE.

That's awesome. I always always hold the door for a pregnant women or a woman (or man) with children. It's chivalry, for sure, but its also just good ol basic common courtesy. Good pair of boys you got there.
Checking in and checking out.
VERY busy at work today and now I have to go to school to recertify for emission repairs.
A lot of you might think it strange, but I HATE the acedemic part of education.
I'm a "learn by doing" type of person and this class is not my idea of fun.
Simply a great way to get a headache.

Built my egg drop box tonight. Should be doing the actual drop in a couple weeks.
I took a cider box (box that'll hold for 1 gallon containers of cider) then suspended a smaller box inside it using bungee cords, wrapped both the inner and outer boxes entirely in duck tape, then filled the inner box up with sand.
The box had to be at least 1.5lbs in total and you can't minimize air resistance. We'll put the egg inside the inside box in the sand. Sand gives us our weight and distributes load across the entire egg very well.
I'm hoping to be able to test it from 50' or so off the manlift tomorrow so I can be positive about it performing well off the school roof.

Instead of bungee cords, how about filling the space between the inner and outer boxes with little bits of soft foam rubber?
Or packing peanuts?
