I am not worried about the legal gun toters...

its the ones that have no respect for the law or human life carrying a gun that scares the crap out of me...

I know in VA if you post a visible sign on private property prohibiting concealed carry then you cant carry. Seems like thats an easy out for the bar owners that dont like this idea in AZ too. I think VA was toying with the idea as long as you told someone that worked there you had a gun and didnt touch any alcohol. Kinda stupid to tell someone you have a CONCEALED weapon if you ask me, but oh well. I find myself looking for signs all the time now since I carry basically everywhere I go, but then again, I live in a war zone it seems. I think you will always have the exceptions, but if you were responsible enough to obtain the permit then you "should" be responsible enough not to get tanked in a restaurant/bar with a weapon!
I think we just got the OK to carry in state parks not too long ago here in VA.

I have to respectfully disagree with you both on this one. How many otherwise responsible people do both of you know that once you add alcohol become either stupid, mean, or both. Not a good combo if you ask me. I know it is not "most" people but do you want to be in the bar with the exceptions? I know I don't.

I like meat on my women as well. I dont like frail women! lol

Jay...

You never know who has a gun these days. All I'm saying is I'd much rather have one that obeys the laws carrying a weapon into a bar rather than a criminal who most likely takes theirs in there anyway waiting on something to make him snap. I know a husband and wife who take their weapons into restaurants around here all the time, regardless of the law. They never drink, just a romantic dinner date here and there. They say if something happens they would rather have it on them and face the concealed charges alive than tell the criminal to "hold on, let me go to my truck and get my weapon".

My whole deal is the fact that criminals "get" to take their weapons anywhere they want, while legal gun owners don't. I wouldn't ever take my weapon into a true BAR...but a restaurant that serves on premises...probably. I guess youve gotta look at violent crime in the area. We have a lot here in the towns next to me. My town...one murder in last 25 years and that was justified. But when I go to the neighboring town to get a pizza(ABC-ON) and I'm standing in line and someone threatens my life, I would like the opportunity to defend myself with any force I deem necessary.
