I was referring only to the .22lr ammo from these mfgs. Remington makes some great weapons!

We used 10s of thousands of .22lrs over the last few years in Ruger10/22s with 30 and 50 rnd mags, CCIs function flawlessly in rapid fire, Remington and Federals seem to jam every few rounds and have noticeable differences in velocity from rnd to rnd, Winchester Super X are better by a lot than Fed/Rem, but still not up to CCI mini mag standards.........Just our unscientific findings!

its cool.. just figured id ask... ive had a jamming issue with my rifle but i aint gonna say its from the shells... with it its more the ejector spring being weak... i want to do a spring job on it but just dont have the $$ to do it.. and since i aint been to the range in awhile its not on a high priority list either... other reason im not gonna say its the shells for me is cuz i have another 22 thats a pistol i use the same brand in and it doesnt give me any problems... so i just figure its old weak springs in the rifle...

ive always gotten federals cuz they were cheap.. cci's were several bucks more than the federals were at the time...

also ive never measured the velocities of the ammo... so i wouldnt know what the effects would be from faster and slower differences... other than sometimes it can effect penetration.. but since i just use em for target practice i dont see it really hindering me...

I wish I had a chronometer to measure velocity, but with Federals some rounds go, "BANG!" others merely go, "crack" and barely operate the semi-auto action.................Some of them just go, "Click" and never do fire even after a second attempt.

never noticed really personally... just never payed attention to it... but never had a dud from them though... did get a few from CCI though... all my other guns i prefer CCI or my reloads for them...

speaking of reloading... i remember i took one of the boxes down to the range i had done... id made 7 duds on purpose for dry fires when i wanted to practice trigger pulls and not have the pins get damaged.. meant to keep them separate.. but some how the got mixed in with the live ones... found all 7 that day... but didnt notice them when id loaded the mags... found them when it didnt go "boom"..
