I have a vibration I can't locate. Gotta get to lookin at those u joints. Only does it when I accelerate hard, though.
bad vibration on hard acceleration could well be bad u-joints. but it could be a bad trans mount also.

when you shift from forward to reverse, do you hear a clunk? that is another indication of either excessive play in the pinion, or bad u-joints.

if you can change them yourself, it is cheap insurance spending the $25 for a set of joints.

They still make "vibrations" that plug into the wall?

Was at a friends house when I was a kid, and we were snooping around in her mom's room and found one of those. It looked medieval. I thought to myself it must be some type of torture device. I wasn't too far off. haha.

Sometimes I hear a clunk, but I park on a driveway with a bit of an incline, so I have chalked it up to that. I discussed this with Dan a bit, and he came up with a driveshaft that is out of alignment, possibly caused by a frozen joint. I can do them myself, only problem is finding a day when it isn't raining, or there isn't some event planned.

How do I check for a bad trans mount?

Not yet. It was actually a pretty nice evening. They are threatening good rain tomorrow though, maybe a few inches. I think today was the nicest day we'll have for a while.

You?

Started this afternoon and supposed to rain through tomorrow.

And no, I would not care to run into "her" in a bar, in a car, or on the tar!
