Jake long distance relationships are most difficult. I can attest to that. The more distance the harder time you have.
When you are older it is difficult but much easier because you have already done the relationship crap to the highest and so its not new growing etc etc. It is what you know.
Being younger you want and need the experience of hand holding, seeing their expressions when you talk (and sooo much gets lost in translation over the phone and on the internet) you want to see how they walk, how their eyes sparkle. It is a million little things that make up on big thing....a good solid relationship.
I have yet to ever know of a couple under 30 who had a long distance relationship that has worked long term and i have been a mod, and active participant in chat rooms, forums and message boards since for over a decade. (well over) In the younger age bracket you are more hands on. Older you are more settled and know what to expect etc.
Find someone you can chill with find someone you can share everyday life with. Someone who will be there to hold you when you feeling pissy, sad or whatever. a voice is nice but arms are twice as nice.
I thought I had seen everything until today.
I stopped in at work for a minute to grab some tools.
All at once a bunch of people on bicycles rode by.
Here in Seattle that is nothing unusual, but what made the difference this time is there were about 40 of them and none of them were wearing any clothes!
I was too far away from my camera to grab some pictures, so you'll have to take my word for it.
My eyes are still hurting.

No its a good thing that you didn't take any pics.
A few weeks ago I was trying to cross the highway through my farm and had to wait for 54 motorcycles to go by. I just leaned on a tree and waved as they rode by. Quite a sight for rural Iowa.

Probly on their way to Sturgus would be my guess.
I wouldn't want to see the naked bicycle riders. I mean...skinny seat, and, well, I'm just not so sure I wanna know how that works out.
well, I cant take credit for this breakfast....I found it on the net......
my breakfast would have had cubed taters (instead of hash), over easy eggs (instead of runny side up), wheat (instead of white), sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes or french toast (made to order), yougurt (as I dont drink milk) and any juice besides orange
