So off the subject of spousal abuse and back to getting teeth ripped out.
Last time I was at the dentist they tried scheduling me to have mine pulled out without even taking an X-ray!
She goes "We'll schedule you to have them taken out, but you'll have to come in for x-rays first"
I asked her if she was crazy.
Am I the only one that thinks it's a little un-nerving when a doctor tries to schedule surgery without even diagnosing a problem?
That sounds a little odd. Kinda like my dentist trying to get me to go to VCU to get my teeth pulled. VCU has 2 schools....regular traditional university (that I attended) and a medical college. Well VCU charges like 500 bucks to pull/cut teeth out. The catch is....dental students operate on ya! Of course theyre under supervision, but no thanks! I gladly paid just over 1100 to get mine cut out professionally. No dental insurance sucked, but Ive never had a problem in my life and its not worth the money for insurance.
The orthodontist word?! I would feel more comfortable having someone with their degree in something doing the work on me! These were the kids still goin out on the weekends killing their livers every chance they got!!
I'm pretty sure my dad's dental paid for it, and with me being the guinea pig and all, there must have been a reduced rate. I was 14 at the time, so I don't remember the details. I just remember the pain, and having to hide my smile for a couple years.
But when we're goofing around, I don't mind at all. This one time, when we were drunk, I dared her to slap me repeatedly. "BRING IT" I said. When we sobered up, she told me I had a hand print on my face for hours.
Randy laughs hysterically when I try to beat him up. You men like a challenge.

Sounds odd to me too Pete. Here's my question: how do they know if you'll even need to have them pulled?
I only have two wisdom teeth. I was born without uppers. The lowers have yet to come in and we're not (me and my dentist back in CO) even sure if they are ever going to go anywhere. He had to take multiple x-rays just to see what was going on and even if it was necessary.
