not on welfare cheeto. we are upper low class trash. we no get no gubment cheese
around here when 17's started to gain momentum with truck owners people were buying up h2 take-offs left and right because you normally got a set of 35's in the deal with the rims.
and i didn't say you truck was cheap. i was implying that you are cheap. i have no doubt that your truck will have more time and money invested in it than most on this board because you can't ever stick with a decision, so including the parts you have bought, changed your mind about, and started over with, i'd say you have a small fortune in it already
So ive been thinkin of a traction bar for the 14B. So after looking at some on Pirate and seeing that i cant afford a $500 setup i got a plan. Ill use 1/4" plate. Make a piece that bolts to the pinion support and goes to the top of the diff. Ill get a Cover from somewhere like ballistic or ruffstuff. Weld a "finger" onto it with a poly bushing. Then weld tabs on the 1/4" plate to accept the same sort of bushing. Use two tubes. Make them meet just short of the entire length of the upper tube. Make a mount off the crossmember thats by the leaf spring mounts and attach them there with a swing shackle. Heres a pic for you to get the jest of what im sayin.
Yup. Goin with an orange/black theme for the chassis but not sure what color the truck will be.
pink, purple, and aqua.
as to the traction bar, any triangulated design will work. the one you posted will be fine, so long as the mounts are solid and the shackle has good bushings.
