Ladies and gentleman. Boys and girls. Children of all ages this is what youve been waiting on. The crew build is finally here. After 2+ years of planning its finally started. Heres the plan: 4wd conversion, CTD, Getrag, Np 205, Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear. I didnt get a before pic so ill start off at the tear down.
Funny you mention that. A guy that takes care of our fire rated stuff we build at work informed us that we have to get calibrated tape measures. Not quite sure how you calibrate a tap measure but whatever.
Fishy its not as close as it looks to the road. Ive got everything mocked in now i just gotta figure out how im going to weld it. I only have a 110 Hobart here. I do weld everyday im just not to keen on welding stuff like that with a little welder. And i dont like to borrow stuff like that from other people so i mihgt just pay someone to come do it for me. There is a guy close ot me that welds on the pipeline so he should be a good candidate. The next problem is how am i gonna get that thing off the saw horse. They took the forklift back to work and have actually been using it.
Well ive got my welder figured out. My uncle is certified and started working for a company so i called and he has a welder on his company truck. So hes gonna do it one evening this week. Got my DOM bushings ordered from Ballistic Fab to make my front shackle mounts. Still undecided if i wanna go inside the frame like factory or under the frame and gain a inch or 2 of lift.
