the roller was just to paint the body on big read.

Frames are sprayed with rustoleum industrail enamel and then topped with clear enamel while the base/color (usually black) coat is still wet

I think this is pretty much taking the route of a tow rig/recovery unit. Not gonna be beat on like i first planned. I think the powder will hold its own and really cant beat the cost.

I have a family friend with an oven big enough to get the frame in. He powders all the dirt track cars you see. Even for the likes of Tony Stewert. He told me blast and powder $250. He would teach me how to powder and then i could stop by and do it myself whenever i need to.

No he usually charges about 3 times that amount. He does dirt bike frames for $400 if that tells ya anything.

Oh okay. Lol. That seems about right.

So my current suggestion:
Don't get powdercoating unless you've got a family friend!

So i got a little bit done. I trimmed the fenders for bumper fit.

Added some gussets to the front.

So heres what im at. I want to incorperate my front crossmember and bumper into my PTO winch mounting. I cut the plates off and ill be welding the bumper brackets to them and tieing everything together. What im wondering is should i flush cut the frame horns to make a flat surface to get a couple more bolts in? Heres what it looks like now.

Cheeto wants to know if this is a saginaw pump bracket for a 460 or a regular power steering pump bracket

I'm fairly certain that's what I have on there right now... but it's dark and cold outside - reminds me too much of cheeto's mom's/sister's (same person) well... I can't say that here, but you know.

Those are the standard ford pump brackets. I have them on my 460 and I believe the same on my 400
