Tell me about it. I'm trying to work a deal now for 2 39.5 boggers I found on Craigslist. The add said $500, but no pic, the poster said they are his brothers and he took the tires to some offroad shop to see if they would sell there. I called the shop since neither the poster or the bother would go over and send me a pic or tell me how much tread is left. The shop said they were decent, but also said I was the only person to call on them and that they should be sold as "used is used" whatever that means. So I offered $250 sight unseen. Waiting on a response. I hate being jacked around!
