Good evening folk.
We just got back home from a big church supper, now I`m settled in for the night too John.
Sure is a very clean looking work truck Perry.....you should paint my Bobcat trailer next.
Black Friday afternoon shopping at Canadian Tire was nuts, it was hard to find a parking spot even on the big parking lot.
Second thanksgiving Morris.
When I get the time in the spring I'll buff it out a bit and wax it so that it shines up. Transmission is next, then finish off putting on the dress pieces and add some sides to the deck.
Can barely handle the mall herd, sure couldn't handle a black friday or boxing day herd.
Good evening to all lurking here.
I was at Canadian Tire yesterday and didn`t see any reason to get overly excited, tonight I`m off to Peavey Mart to get a warm cat bed and see what other bargains are there.
There is no wheel in there yet Morris or seats. I have to put a new water pump on and they the new pulley set then will start putting in the insulation before starting to fill the cab with all the goodies..
Just what you need, a non fender hotrod lol.
Pretty little Calico Morris, haven't seen a Peavey Mart in years
Have transmission unbolted, can't thread the spring in so its tear apart time. Going to buy a rebuild kit as it all has to come apart anyway. Theres 2 levels of kits, the cheap one is the seal and bearing kit which is going to be needed anyway as it's getting torn down. Can't order anything until the first so that will give me time to clean everything and open it up.
I have a 56 M100 parts truck that has a 51 Ford car steering wheel, since I have fond memories of my 51 tudor it looks like it`ll end up in my 53 M100 resto rod. Cleaned up of course! What are you using for insulation John?
Guess I won`t be Peavey Mart, they close early on the weekends.
How much of the transmission has to come apart Perry, just the top or is it more? Do you have a shop you can use to work on it or will you do that in the backyard?
