Winter has arrived and with the weeks of cold weather the wood pile is going to really go down soon!
Feels like I have a cold coming on but at least it should be gone before Christmas
I don't usually find anything good but I don`t lose stuff either Perry.
There was a snow storm way south of us but it didn`t get here, just the cold wind John.
Winter storm hits a wide area:

I never get used to winter so it's nice to be inside Colin.
Anyone have wild pigs in their area? Apparently they are around. This one looks like the size of a bear.

No stormy weather on the way, just 10 days and counting of -20 highs.
Got my 2nd gear synchro ordered and its on its way already
Canadian tire out here has really gone downhill, the management of this store has the, must work for mininum wage, not understand english and have no idea of what the product line is. Was looking for acorn nuts, couldn't find any but found lug nuts instead, go to parts counter, 2 girls and guy behind counter had no idea what an acorn nut was and tried to find it on computer, they didn't know what an automotive dress up item is. They finally decided that I was looking for Mcguard lug nuts because I told them that lug nuts were to big for me to use. I walked out knowing that this was a waste of time and the guy in line behind me didn't even bother asking for what he was looking for. I think thats why it's trying to be a Walmart, Ah, you buy battery, battery there, there battery, what mean wrong type, there battery.

It`s not stormy here, just windy so darn cold and we`re getting that same -20s plus windchill.
That`s good news on your transmission parts coming on the way to you, what`s the damage?
Our local Canadian Tire stores are well stocked plus reasonably clean but I can't say anything about their counter staff since I buy my parts at discount houses. They have way better prices and service.....plus staff actually know the difference between a lug nut and a muffler.
Costco for my automotive batteries, no hassle return policy and decent prices. Did I mention that my daughter in law works here...

If you have a shopping cart and are there to shop, then it's a regular Canadian tire. If you need customer service, forget it, the manager is trying to save money by paying 1st and 2nd year wages, you won't find anyone who's been there 3 years, costs to much for experienced employees. It's a management style that's still being taught even though it's been proven to not work.

Part cost $60 cdn delivered to the mailbox from American Powertrain
Get to go to Fort Gary Industries storefront tomorrow, will see if Sigurd wants to do a plant tour also. It's a parts and pieces tour for my mirrors plus I want to see what they have for lights, mirrors and bright work

It`s a frigid Taco Tuesday here!
Unfortunately the Wal-Mart management style is at a few place, not just Canadian Tire Perry.
Hopefully that - 5 C is outside Ian, not inside!
$60 Cdn delivered like a good deal, any idea of what it might cost if you could get it locally? I could spend hours and buckets of money at Fort Gary Industries, there are so many neat things to buy there.
No snow here John, just bitter cold.
I hear that there was a storm headed your way Grant, it sounds as bad as what southern Sk got yesterday.

I encounter that management style at a lot of places, especially right now in this so called recession.
It would've been about $90 and chances are that they would have waited until the end of the week to place the order, or charged a special order fee of 25 - $50
FGI should be fun

Got my mirror lenses ordered from FGI, will be here in about 2 weeks or so as there is only 1 set in the warehouse now and the reorder comes in 2 weeks, would rather pick up both sets at one time. Now have a preffered customer card from FGI. Calgary Fasteners was 10 blocks away so I picked up the stainless steel acorn nuts that I was looking for. $42 for 20 nuts and 4 lenses.

I don't dare go to FGI this close to Christmas, I'd come home with a truck load of stuff ''I might need someday'' and no one would get any presents since I'd be totally broke.
What size are those stainless steel acorn nuts? I want to get some for my gravel truck wheels.
Hardly any fresh snow here but the wind is 33 to 50 kmh, -16°C now feels like -28°C.
