Happy Thursday mornin'all. Another frigid day. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow, but with 4 inches of snow forecasted. Have a great day guy's. Morris I agree with you by hitting the 50,000 mark

Same here and it`s still -7°C which is a lot better than -30°C.
-13 and snowing with a heavy snowfall warning out. I'm a happy people. Too bad its only here for one day, but I'll take it.
Does anyone have any experience/opinions/knowledge about Ingersoll-Rand heavy equipment? I'm looking at a 1999 IGR Telehandler with 4800 hrs on it. Cummins power, looks really clean. I'm not familiar with them at all, don't know if they're comparable with Genie or JLG or something. I'm most familiar with the JCB/CAT units...

Drove one regularily in FtMac couple hears ago. 99% of the time is was an ATF but we did have to put the man basket on it here and there. Operating it was fantastic. Handled very good. Very stable. I also serviced the unit and airfilter/oil changes were very easy to do. Didn't shut off unless I had to squeze it into a building. Got that thing into places I couldn't believe. (crabbing around piping inside a building) The jib tool proved very handy despite the 40/50' reach of the unit. I'll have to find a pic of it in that plant!!
I've been up on Genie's, JLG's and ZoomBooms (what I call the telehandler) and preffer the zoom boom hands down. Only down side to it, you need an operator in the cab at all times to manouver the manbasket around (if that's what your using it for.)

BLIZZARD WARNING...... wooooo whooooooooo. I'll take some shoveling over this sitting around the house not being able to go outside and tinker longer than 10 minutes without having to gear up with the snowsuit!!
Only downside is the wife may just stay at hosp again overnight instead of chancing the hwy's later

We only got a couple of inches of snow and the temperature is about to drop way down again.
What happened to your wife Curtis?

I wouldn't mind a blizzard Its probably best that your wife stays at the hospital rather than chancing it, reps for playing it smart Hows the mother in-law doing??

I build for a living. Homes, shops, etc. I'd sooner have equipment than hire more guys. Equipment is often cheaper in the long run, can take a small amount of abuse, works when you need it (hopefully), and doesn't come to work late or with a pout on because it didn't get laid over the weekend.
She's fine, she's been staying as much as possible with her mom.

She's, unfortunately, only got a few more days with us. Won't be long as her condition is sadly worsen'd. Brought the kids there today for the last time. She mumbled their names, and said I love you Cameron and Serina.
So it's a absolute blessing she's still there mentally. Entire family has had alone time with her except for me. But i'm planning on tomorrow as no other visitors are planned to be there but the wife.

I'm going to say here at home and Selkirk has at least 10". Have the neighbor coming to watch kids for me in the morning after clearing snow and heading out for a ride myself!! Can't wait. Never did get out the other day. Still snowing hard out there and its a dense snowfall, so when the winds pick up later tonight It should make for an awesome ride
I'm a contractor as well Sherm, and your preaching to the choir. I work mostly alone as well!! And there's a reason for that which I'm guessing is the exact same reason as yours. Hard to find really good guys out there these days!! Allllllllllways something..........
Oh, and I heard on the radio this evening......... 751 autopac claims put in today. My sister in law owns an autobody shop. Autopac called her today to tow vehicles there as their yards are FULL!! Crazyness!!
We got 3 or 4" of snow here today, just spent two hours cleaning out the yard. My son has a hockey tourney tomorrow so I am hoping I can get out sledding sunday.
Just got back from a little cruise. Hwy's are blown right over. Barely a lane. Hit a drift and there so dense it pulls ya right in. Nobody in the ditch, which i'm surprised. Made for some fun driving!!!!
I took a couple vids, i'll post them tomorrow.
First time I really honked on it with the Herc Ficm Tune. Wow, the turbo spools up FAST!!
Sorry to hear of your Mother In Law's condition Curtis. Our thoughts are with you all, hope you and your wife find peace in the situation.
Our road to the acreage (4-1/2 miles of gravel) was drifted quite badly when I came home last evening. Its likely worse this morning. I'll be clearing snow this am, then hopefully go for a rip in the afternoon. Unfortunately I think my wife has passed her cold on to me...feeling that tickle in my throat.
What kind of construction do you do Curtis? I started out framing, switched to finishing, now a mixture of both, but I prefer framing. I like being outdoors. I've got one full time guy with me, 23 year old kid who is a really good guy, decent worker, and extremely honest. He takes instruction/reprimand well, never gives me attitude, and he's got morals and standards similar to my own. Not often you find younger guys like that nowadays.
