talk about a reality check eh Morris? It was +2 here this morning, slowly cooled off through the day. -9 now, same as you folks, heading to -29 by Monday... Yay...
Thanks for all the kind words guys.
She's comfortable, eating, pretty much pain free so those are all blessings.
Brought the kids there today to see her. Wife's in really rough shape.
They haven't missed their weekly bingo night together in over 19 years.
Going to be tough on Dee, man o man I feel for her.
Heading home today I must have seen 50 sleds out ditch bangin. Can't imagine how busy the trail system was....wow. Warm day and EVERYONE goes lol.
Brett.....Pinawa and trails around there are great. Busy system there but good wide trails. I may get out in a couple days, see how things pan out.
Just thought i'd check in and say hello, going to whip up a snack for the fam and hopefully get a restfull sleep. More so for mumzie!!
Still just -3 here but supposed to cool off over night to -16. I hope we get some snow, it really shrunk the last few days so good sledding is hard to find.
Good evening to you too Steve.
No more worries about snow now Colin, we`re getting fresh snow with some pretty good winds. It`s supposed to keep this up into tomorrow evening.
Morning everyone. My house is finally quiet. Everyone is gone and everything is back to normal. Yesterday I went to see a buddy of mine that I went to school with, he's working for imperial oil out in Alberta but he is visiting his parents out here for the holidays. On our way home, my girlfriend was driving because I had a few drinks of course, and we got pulled over by the r.c.m.p. because her car is having an electrical issue and her tail lights don't work when you turn your lights on. They work if you hit the breaks but that's it. Anyways he comes up and asks my girlfriend for her license and registration and, as usual, my girlfriend forgot her license at home. So now were thinking she gonna get a ticket for the tail lights not working and not having her license... Well the officer comes back to the car and tells us "next time make sure you have your license on you, get the tail lights fixed ASAP or just drive in the day time, but for now just turn on your 4-ways." So I think it's safe to say we got away very lucky there, the officer was very nice and didn't try and give us the "stern warning" like they normally do, he just talked to us like normal people and was very kind. I really like when cops don't try and be robo cop, but I understand that it is their job. Sorry for the long post but I just thought I would share my night with you guys. Oh and Curtis, I'm glad to hear she's getting better
Thanks Sherwin. One of us always stays sober to drive, and funny thing is 90% of the time I'm the sober one lol. Or if we both are drinking then we make sure to dress appropriately for the weather and walk.
We do the same. Likewise if our kids are home one of us will stay responsible in case the kids need something thru the night. We're not excessive drinkers, but even the slightest lapse of full mind could lead to something one would be sorry for...
