Yes the console mount. You've inspired me. I was trying to stay a "purist" and keep the authinticity of "old school", but I sure do like the convenience of power windows. This may just be the push I needed to get me off the fence. Also, would it be too difficult to have a setup like modern vehicles with a switch on the console and one on the individual doors? I wouldn't think that should be that hard....you may have yours rigged like that already.
The front doors don't have a switch on the door, the front passenger side has a single switch mounted on the other side of the tuffy console, and this above driver side position has all 4, plus a fifth for the tailgate glass which I have not hooked up yet, but the bezel is there.
If i purchase it id like to convert to 4wd, reading the prior posts, can anyone state step by step or pics. of how they did it, i know it shouldnt be to hard but seeing someones would really help. Thanks guys
Well just about an hour ago, I became the proud owner of a 77(.5) 4x4 f250 crew cab, that by chance found me in North Mississippi. It has a
460 seemingly stock, except for the demon carburetor.
C6 Automatic
Tilt Column
NP205
Dana 44 front and 60 rear.
The 460 has brackets from a late model 460 so it has a serpentine belt which is pretty cool, the idler pulley is worn out so the belt currently doesn't fit right. But here are some crappy phone pics.
Cool huh?
Im sure its been covered but how many crews were made between 73-79 the more specific the production numbers, the better.
I finally got it all cut and fit, "old super crew" there has been 33.5 inches cut out of the bed, (which allowed me to cut out the rust area) one friend thinks it looks cool, another thinks its too short, I think it came out good, the Super Trailer Special bed with the 4" shorter section between the wheels and the tailgate made it look more balanced.
