That is not all my stuff. That is a friends house where the Americans were. He would be more than happy to clear it out though.

Just like everything else that we have done this year the engine was a fight. When we switched from the 300 V6 to the 460 a few years ago we just got a set a stock towers and welded them in and bolted the engine down. This season we got some Trans-Dapt engine swap mounts which mounted to existing 3/8" holes in the front cross-member. When we got the engine set in the bay and bolted done the whole engine and transmission assembly was moved back 2 1/8" from the old mounts which makes the drive-line too long and the throttle linkage a real mess. On these trucks also the engine and transmission as stock seems to be set to the passenger side of the vehicle about 2". So we had to modify the mount for the tranny. All in all a couple hour job took about a days work to get it straight and level.

Got the alternator and all wiring done along with the fuel plumbing and one header. The other needs a 5 inch piece cut out to fix where it was massaged to fit when the engine was on the old mounts and foward 2 inches from where it was supposed to be. The other was coated with VHT flame proof enamel and baked in the oven for a few hours.

Thats sucks about the mounts but at least moving the motor back will help hooking. Everything looks great. You need to get a side picture so I can see the stance with the motor in it.

I am in the process of rebuilding my first engine (with help of a few buddies of course). And I hope my engine looks half as nice. Of course mine will be built for the street and torque, but that thing is a piece of art work.

I need to get me one of those mini sand blasters so I can clean up my parts and powder coat them.

Plan on taking it out on a drive on saturday so I will get some good shots out in the sun. We had to put the front on blocks to get the transmission and engine in together so it looks like the truck is pulling a 6 inch wheelie right now and the stance looks a bit weird.

Good luck with the engine rebuild and thanks for the kind words. I highly recommend the powder coating.

Picked up the shortened drive shaft today and some new 5/16 line for the tranny cooler. All I need now are some spark plugs and go for a test drive on saturday.

Still not fired yet but getting closer. The guy doing the tin work in the box finished the tubs and the tunnel between the two on Saturday so we got it all primed and caulked. Also got the drive line and drive line loop finished up. On the engine we got the radiator in, the starter back on and the headers done. Also made up some collector extensions and some 3" exhaust dumps so totally eliminate the mufflers.

Since the engine is set back the radiator hoses are too short so we need two new ones. Still need to drop in the distributor, install the plugs, fill the radiator and drive.
