I wouldn't risk running level 3 with 87 and octane booster,it could be disasterous.

I've run 87 on level 3....nothing happened. Remember, these tuners don't really change much. The main thing is changing torque at shift and when the WOT fuel mapping begins (TPS). The shift changes make the trucks feel like you have a lot more power..it's all seat of the pants stuff...

I wouldn't run level 3 on 87 for very long, your timing will be off and you will notice the difference. If you ever punch it down you will hear it. It sounds like a grinding/scratching noise.

I have 2 buddies at work one that has 5.4 2 wheel drive that talks
trash to a guy that has the 4.6 4x4 with the edge tunner .
who do you think would win?
Could the guy with the 4.6 change the tire size to a taller one in the tunner to lower the shift points making it kinda like a 4.10 keeping the stock tires on it .

Would it be safe if he put it in 4hi to 60 foot better?

Shawn001,
Your edge will be ready to go. All you have to do is plug it in and choose your programming level. If you choose level 1, 2, or 3 and want to change some of the settings such as tire size you will have to customize the level. Otherwise, you will choose the level without customization.

I got mine installed and love it so far, although it has only been two days. It made a huge improvement in drive ability and the gauges are very handy. I am running level two adjusted for Tire size and gear ratio.

The speedometer is reading about three MPH faster that the edge display, any way to adjust that?

That seems to be the norm around here from what I've read. Min is about 2-3 mph different too.

I installed my edge last night and it made a large improvement in response. I have it on level 2 with the tire size corrected. I did notice one thing, however, when I went to set the tire size the number that was displayed did not correlate with the size of the stock tires. As a matter of fact it was way off. I thought the edge would display what it read from the PCM, correct? This truck is an 04 Scab was reflashed by the dealer about a year ago.

Also, Kudos to Discount Power Parts for quick delivery. I am very happy so far. Thanks!

Got my Edge last night. Thanks to DPP for fast and easy service and delivery. I had it in 3 days.

Anyhoo, I installed it last night and the gauges are worth the price alone. It is nice to be able to keep an eye on tranny temps, etc.

Edge update

I just talked with an Edge rep and he assured me the P0600 and P0605 code correction will be availble no later than next Wed.4/4/07
They have found the solution and are in the programing stage.
I added my name to a callback list that he had and they will call me(HAHA) when it is ready for download.

There are numerous tire/rim choices from the factor, so I think the Edge just uses a dafault size. What I don't like is that there is no way to see what size is selected after you made a change, it always goes back to the default number.
