Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 25 under clear skies. Headed to McMinnville in a little while. Warden moving a little slow this morning.
Morning all. Had an appointment at the Mac Jeep stealership yesterday for yet another recall, the 3rd one for the same thing, the hybrid battery. Made it 3 weeks ago and when I got there was informed they have no certified tech so no warranty work on the jeep. Great so wife and drive 2 rigs to mac since it's chemo week for nothing. Need to pick a different dealer and none of them that are "close" I like. Sigh. I think it's almost a sign and I need to embrace the suck and just keep it.
Rich, we never had any luck with that dealership on the north end of Mac. The Mazda part of them got the Mazda and had it for nearly 3 months before I pried it out of them. Then they wanted nearly $1000 dollars for doing much more than putting a standard car battery and an alternator belt in it. After a bit of a "discussion" and a manager getting involved, the price dropped to something like $250.
Allen, hope you heal quickly. I've got a mole by my right eye that flares up from time to time, but so far they say it is nothing to worry about.

Allen I hope today is a good day. Back to my doc in Mac for my 3 min appt to get my pump removed. I'll be glad when I can ditch this part of chemo.
Jim - ironically it was a year to the day and time when they did the 2nd battery recall when no one else could. Newburg sucks, Roberson in Salem sucks, and so does Wilson. It's an all day thing and no one has a loaner so I have to coordinate with the wife. It would be one thing if they would just give me a loaner car then I can do it any time. I guess I'm spoiled with Colvin and the service I get from them. I'll buy a GM product before I'll ever buy Stellantis again.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Have to run into Mac this afternoon and pick up an Rx for the Warden.
Rich, another to add to your list is Powers Motor Group. And after my recent experience with a GMC Sierra 1500, I’d suggest a saddle horse before GMC.
Only had one problem with Cheaten Charlie and that was way back in 1980 when they tried to pull a bare and switch on a pickup we were buying. Had great service with them and no problems since.
We had a golden mantle and maybe a pine squirrel get into the car. Found some chewed papers in the glove box and a hole chewed in the plastic ‘emergency’ tub we keep inside the trunk. Haven’t figured out how or where they got in at. They chewed up & devoured one of the 4 MRE’s we keep there for emergencies. Left the emergency blanket alone and other MRE’s alone.
Now we have an engine hood open light and a nag screen when we start the car which is, I presume, messing with remote door lock and remote start because they won’t work. Haven’t been able to find any chewed wires or blown fuses. It’s been over a month since I saw the squirrels around the car & found the evidence of their mischief, so if it is related to that, I don’t know why it took so long to show up as a problem.
We’ll stop by Chuck Colvin and talk to them when we go to town to pick up the Rx.
