Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 32 just before sunup and we're up to 34.8 now under clear blue sky. Had some 30mph winds last night and this morning. Backed off to 6 gusting to 12 now. The forecast is saying it will stay a little breezy all day.
Morning all. Looks like it might be a bit wet starting tonight. We'll see how this potential Pineapple Express sets up.
On a personal note, as of yesterday, I'm done with chemo for now and will just do immunotherapy at least until August on a every 3rd week schedule instead of 2. No more pump and sleepless nights. Good timing since the side effects of the 5FU are starting to become more noticeable. Routine CT scan and a cardiogram towards the end of this month. Gotta love insurance, since my dose goes to a 3 week dose, we need prior authorization for the change so looks like I get to skip infusion this week altogether. Now if PERS would get moving things would be much better. Waiting on them to recalc my benefit and get me a check. No stress there. Anyway that's all I got.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 23 for the trip to the Vets Office this morning. Up to 30 now with a breeze making it feel like it's only 10. Started out with a flannel shirt this morning and I didn't get off the porch before I was coming back for a jacket.
Snoopy once again made himself a rock star at the Animal Hospital this morning. Staff sure doesn't help out his manners and obedience training one little bit and he plays it up and soaks it up to the max. Couldn't find a wound in the affected area of below the left ear or in the ear. They figure its a bacteria caused hot spot. 3 meds and a Cone for the next 2 weeks. Snoopy does not care for the cone.
Rich, it took two months to get my PERS rolling in. Put the papers in towards the end of November for a December retirement date. 3 weeks before my birthday at the end of December but ahead of the new actuarial list coming in that year on, I believe December 10. I got a check covering December and January on Feb. 01.
Congrats on ditching the Chemo (?). The immunotherapy treatment I had was not pleasant, but better and easier to handle than any Radioactive stuff. You could say I graduated from red moon soots to yellow moon suits.
Just had my scope, video production and inside the guts look last Thursday. Old doc retired so I have a new one. Haven't decided on him yet. He's new school and thinks that after everything I've been through, especially all of the biopsies, I could probably forgo the annual invasive procedures now and go with blood and urine tests only. I told him I would die of nerves if I didn't have annual reassurances. Especially after the years of hearing how high grade and dangerous the tumors are. So, he's sending instructions to my PCP on special blood and urine tests and what to look for as well as leaving me on the annual schedule for the normal routine.

Morning all. Dang it's wet. So much for fishing, so I guess I'll go through my gear since I seem to have an abundance of time.
Jim - I did my initial application in August and formal application in November. My employer didn't submit the final payroll info until I asked about it, 4 weeks after my retirement date. SMH. PER's says they can cut a check in a 1-2 weeks once that payroll info is received. Hope to get something in a week or so.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 48 and rain. No jungle mowing this morning. We’re going to head back to Bravo later today.
Just got back from the old retired cops meeting we have on Wednesday mornings. We had a pretty good crowd this morning. Roll Call this morning.
Somebody is really milking it. Won’t take his pills without them being wrapped up in a peanut butter sandwich. Got up to go to the kitchen for coffee and he takes over my chair. He is getting used to the cone. He just bulldozes his way thru.
