Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 27 and overcast here at Bravo. The witch doctors are looking at the crystal ball and saying we might get a little rain or snow on Tues thru Thursday. In the meantime, the panic due to lack of snowpack is starting to hit conversations. Crater lake at the visitor center is reporting only 31". Normally it would be up to the eaves or higher on the center.
Morning all. Yeah the snow pack is a concern for sure. No snow is seriously going to mess up my fishing plans.
Overcast here in Dallas and currently 37 degrees. We can still make some of it up if we get it going. Frankly, I'm ready for it to warm up a bit and rain in the valley and snow in the mountains. OK a few days of cold and 6 or 8" of snow on the valley floor would be ok too. Then back to normal rain. I'm just glad we not in Tex/OK right now. Lots of folks have lost barns and arenas due to the ice. Good reminder that area can get some crap weather so need to be prepared.
It wouldn't surprise me about barn and arena roofs. With the exception of a few specific areas, I strongly suspect they don't build them with much over a 25lbs. snow load.
I can't remember when I've seen Crater Lake with as little snow as is up there right now. The ski resort just up the road from us is making me wonder if they have Ski/Snow Resort industry insurance similar to crop loss insurance for farmers and ranchers.
Well, phone call with DMV went very well....(not). Seems they just change your voter registration whether you want them to or not. When we changed addresses on the Drivers Licenses last August, they replaced the Wardens Real ID ODL with a non-Real ID ODL. Still have the old ODL, Real ID that they punched a hole in. But the only thing we can do is go back to the DMV office (La Pine), show them the Old ODL pay $30 for a replacement ODL and $30.00 for the Real ID star. In La Pine, DMV is open one day a week on Thursday. If you get there 2 hours early you will find a line out the door, across the parking lot and down the sidewalk most Thursdays. Or (my Idea), go to a different DMV office that is open more than 1 day a week (like Dallas) and you don't stand in line at for 3 hours, if you're lucky, take her birth certificate Pay the $60.00 and be done with it. Now to figure out if the Birth Certificate is in the file cabinet at Alpha or if it got moved to the Safety Deposit box with my Birth Certificate and Military papers.
Rx's for the Warden straightened out...I think. What a crazy ride. Just one of the Wardens Rx's (didn't take time to check the other, but I know at least one is definitely higher), is a prime example of corporate greed. Just the one that I went into depth on....
Old Rx insurance drug plan. $30.00 for a 90 day supply at Walmart.
New Rx Insurance, (has deductible, but cost 0 p/month premium, old plan was like $70 p/month premium) All are 90 day supply....Walmart=$106 (insurance negotiated price until deductible is met). Safeway= 54.00, Walgreens=$55.80, Sheridan Pharmacy (and several others)=$707.00, Express Scripts (Mail order), $12.89. After the Prescription deductible is paid, it goes to $0.72 (72¢) per 90 day supply. Guess you know we are changing Pharmacies.
Called the Cardiac Clinic (Adventist Health Network) to have them start changing everything over and they were extremely helpful.
