You could have bought the billet block from Hypermax with the number of blocks sourced and time spent.
Core blocks tend to go for around 400-500... 2,500 has probably been spent (not by me thankfully) on replacement blocks... accounting for the work hours might get to the 10 grand hypermax block lol.
Good news though:
Since last post the shop has sourced another core block, cleaned, pressure tested, bored/honed the cylinders, and drilled/tapped the main and pan bolt holes for the bedplate. Next steps will be to bring the pan rail and registers into tolerance for the bedplate, then line bore & hone, and finally kissing the decks.
