Good morning Lin...sounds like you scored on the grill...charcoal is much better than gas...better flavor.

You've been talking about the lawn for about a week now...putting it off till tomorrow wouldn't be a big deal...would it??? You know the old maxim..."Why put off till tomorrow what you can put off till the next day???"

I'm a big fan of fall also...love the colors...but...I hate what follows...winter and white crap. I'm also a big fan of spring...everything coming back to life.

TIM, hope they can get that thing contained asap !

Suppose to rain here today but the Future radar says no maybe I will get the lawn done... hahahah maybe.

Ohhh I scored a Charcoal grill for FREE yesterday. Didn't know how good a deal I got till I got home and looked it up. It was only used about 4 times and is in perfect condition. I better get grilling... which means I need to go fishing
It's this one https://www.weber.com/US/en/grills/c.../16401001.html
Lin, nice score on the weber kettle. I have 2 weber 22.5" grills. the first one I bought is still going strong. I had to replace the cooking grate and the charcoal grate once already. My second one I have converted into a wood fired pizza oven, Then I have the 6 burner propane grill, and then I added an offset smoker earlier this year,

Good morning Massachusetts..apparently the fire north of us has flared up again thanks to the heat wave and high winds but still contained. Eleven new fires started on Monday. Woke up to some smoke in the air this morning..

Oh John I am sorry that is happening up there News here said that smoke would come down to us but that was BEFORE your new fires this morning ! Can't imagine what it is like up there... masking for other reasons

Now I just need to learn to use a charcoal grill again, find some friends so I can cook on it

Ken, yes I have been dragging on it. I might as well go do it this evening as I just took a shower so no sense getting sweaty now
As much as I hate driving in the snow, it's not all that bad........ seems better now since I left for TX for 2 years and realized I would rather walk around in winter like a Stay Puff marshmallow man then take my skin off in the summer ! Plus, it usually isn't too bad of a wait from Fall to Spring, at least just keep telling yourself that.

Sorry to hear that John. Lin a charcoal grill is easy. I use lump hardwood charcoal and only use a chimney starter to light the charcoal. Have never used lighter fluid.

Here you go Lin. The only thing not in this photo is my propane grill. The trash can holds my ready use charcoal ( 2 33lb bags of charcoal) and the deck box that holds the wood splits for the smoker. Covered up is the pizza oven.

NICE ! Wish I had enough people that I could have that many grills
I had a small propane camping grill just for doing fish as I hate the smell inside

I want to do a big brisket but really it will be just me eating it, maybe DD a little. I boredom eat, stick a full brisket in front of me and I am sure I could eat it all in 6 hours You would think I was really fat hahahaha

I like making brisket Lin. It is fun. Just time consuming. When I smoke brisket it takes around 14-15 hours to get it just right. And that is after putting on a nice dry rub the day before. I need to order in some pork belly as well as some curing salt so I can start making my own bacon at home. Price of bacon is going up. I would like to get a nice propane flat top for at home and a good dutch oven cooking stand for the back yard.

Evening all...sorry I didn't get back to say "hey" to all who stopped by...consider it done now. Had some light showers around here this afternoon that turned it into an absolute sauna. Currently 76* with 70% RH...just downright nasty. Looks like the remnants of Fred arrive here on Saturday #4...forecasted 3"+/- of rain. Better than white crap!!!

Saawx choked away a late inning lead this afternoon dropping the first game of the double header to the Yankmees...5-3. They had the bases loaded in the top of the7th with no outs...and...couldn't score a run.

Hope y'all have a great evening...some dishes to wash...TV to catch up on...cracked a new book this afternoon...then to bed early..."work"...gotta be there by 0530 hours...always up at 0300 hours or so. Just can't sleep any longer.

Sensational un-retirement day Massachusetts, Ken, Lin, Tim, Don, Shaun, John, Bud, and all the crew reporting.
Well Becky and I survived out first day at the Sammich assembling plant! Other than a long day of which I ain't used to, it was an interesting day. Noting hard and nothing heavy. Maybe a one to 2 pound bag of Sausage biscuits! First day was hard on the soft underbelly I have became in the last year. Get another day in and it should be good! On your feet 9 of 10 hours but I kinda was used to that any way!

Lin congratulations on the score. Set it up to smoke the fish! YUM!

Ken have a great night and hope the recycling is a great day! Praise the Katie's!

Jim hope all is well with the fires!

Same to you John!

Good morning Massachusetts...and...all who visit this Hump Saturday!!! Woke up this morning to some incredibly humidity...68*...88% RH...rather sticky if I do say so myself!!! Some showers as well...gonna have those most of the day. The remains of Fred are scheduled to arrive tomorrow...3"+/- of rain here. Predictions of street and low land flooding. Hope it's nicer in your little slice of heaven!!!

Saawx took a right to the chin in the first game...and...then took a left to the chin last night in dropping a double header to the Yankmees. They scored a total of 3 runs in both games to waste what were 2 great starting pitching performances. A chance to salvage some respect tonight in the final game of the series. Bud...watch out...we're coming. Saawx are .001 points behind the Yankmees...in third place. They better get their heads out of their *****...and...soon.

Off to "work" soon...hope y'all have a great day!!!

Morning Rod...glad to hear you and Becky survived your first day without too many scars. Hope it continues to go well for you two.

As for "work"...I heap praise on everyone everyday I'm there...and...often when I'm not there.

Happy Hump Day Massachusetts, Ken, Lin, Tim, Don, Bud, John, Shaun, George and all the crew.
Not humid here but the moisture in the air is greater than 100% considering the heavy rain overnight and through the morning!
