Morning to the two early-birds in MASS - Ken and Lin. And to all the others there too. Happy Humpin' Day! Man these Hump days get here too dang quick anymore ! I must be over the (up) hill and running down fast on this side !

Lin, you're young, get your butt in gear and mow the dang lawn. Ken, hope your day at the "work 20" goes well !

Morning Ken-ster, Lin, Don, PAtrick and all of Massachusetts. Lin I know how it feels. I put off trimming the yard for a few weeks. Took awhile to get it all trimmed and the side walks edged. I need to get smoe brisket soon. I think I might smoke a nice brisket or 2 for Labor day. Nice mix of hickory and mesquite since I dont have any post oak or pecan.

Now...on to the important stuff...what's for lunch???

Not humid here but the moisture in the air is greater than 100% considering the heavy rain overnight and through the morning!

I say my Prayers to!
Howdy Rod...they're good at "work"...I'm sure your prayers are appreciated. They're going to get cinnamon rolls on Weekend Eve...courtesy of me and the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

I didn't mow the lawn due to the neighbor being outside smoking. Got up early to do it at 0630 but DAMNN IT, too muggy out. Fine, I'm a baby but as Ken says.. "What you can put off till tomorrow

So now I am up and coffee gone. Maybe if I have another cuppa I will just bounce my way outside and do it. Oh that reminds me I have to order Decaf Kirkland pods for DD
Good morning Lin...Saturday #3 is more commonly known as Hump Saturday. "Work" was great this morning...only a minor issue that Katie Beth handled efficiently and professionally. She's one of the best!!!

Sooooooooo...the lawn saga continues. If you don't get to it today...tomorrow is probably out...Fred is supposed to dump on us.

Ok Ok, the Lawn is done, some of the Hens came out to play with me and eat the Grasshoppers The others were in the coop laying eggs so they didn't get to come out. Locked up now haha
I thought the compost dump was open today, nope gotta wait till Saturday to go dump this not sure if I want to leave it in the tarp in the carport or just put it in the bed of the truck (with tonneau cover) till then... don't want flies.
Got to hang with the hens for a while . Now to go make something to eat.

That doesnt' work that well with the Electric mower and I don't mind. I used to just pile it for the hens to scratch through but not in the run area so that's out now. Plus it gives me a Reason to have a Truck

OH and I hung up the wet laundry. So I got 4 things done today hahaa

Ohh and the LED rear bulb replacements will be here by this weekend.. so amazooly says... Now I got something ELSE to do

Grass makes great compost if it's fresh and mixed with any brown things like leaves or stuff from the house like old veggies...(no meat). Throw in some dirt if nothing else.

Good afternoon Farmers,

We compost everything we can, although the chickens get the grass cutting once in a while and then sometimes we just mulch it.

My wife and I are canning Peaches today, and just for kicks we put in a few yellow plumbs. Time will tell, we have never did that before.

I hope not to be at this rental long enough to have a compost.
I DID have compost a few years ago but then I just gave it to the chickens to scratch and dig holes in hahaha

Shaun hope they gave to a password and you are Zipping fast though the interwebz

Laundry done, got 3 Jalapenos off the plant... only 3 more left. I forgot I had it in there and the Mint took it over Other wise there would be more. But the Bell Pepper plant is doing great but not ready to pick yet.

Good evening all...Fred arrives this evening...prognosticators are backing off their early predictions of 3"=/- of rain...now...maybe 2". That's still plenty. Upstate NY is getting hammered...lots of trees down...lots of flooding...lots of streets/roads washed out. They're getting the winds associated with the storm...we shouldn't. Hope things are hunky dory in your little slice of heaven.

Saawx play the Yankmees tonight...since July 25th the Saawx have gone from a 9 1/2 game lead in the AL East...to...5 games back...a 14 1/2 game drop. If they had played like this earlier in the year...my prediction of them battling the No's for could have come true.

Supper is almost ready...spaghetti...garlic bread. Better get here soon if you're interested.

I use an electric on my lawn...a 20+/- year old B&D corded...small lawn...works fine. Laundry too?!?!? You've been way too busy today...relax.

You never eat anything for lunch...must be that bag of Milky Ways you bring in each morning ruins your appetite.

Howdy Tim...no place for a garden here...so..no need to compost. We take the falls leaves out into the woods and dump them in a huge pile...been doing it for 34 years. I imagine there's some black gold near the bottom of that pile. Peaches...one of my favorite fruits...you grow your own???

And...how does that make your jalapeno plant feel???
