Sensational Saturday morning Massachusetts, Ken, Lin, Bud, Shaun, Don, Tim, John and all the crew reporting.
Between 1400 and 1530 yesterday afternoon we had some nice storms. while sitting on Mom's porch. It knocked out the heat but after they passed the humidity stuck around.
Not sure what today will bring other than I may mow the yard!
Lin, hope you are feeling better today and the hospital is no place for sick people to be! LOL
Grocery shopping and errands done...laundry in dryer...now...maybe the downstairs bathroom. Do you think once a year is too many times to clean the bathroom???
Fairly steady rain made it feel like a sauna outside...not much better inside...not gonna turn the A/C on for a while though.

Ken, which do you want? Spoiler or winner of the bottom race? OK...maybe we can even that out somewhat. We have a pretty good lead in the race tho.....
Morning Bud...I don't want them playing spoilers if they're playing the Saawx. Saawx moved a couple of their starters to the bullpen to make room for an up and coming youngster...Tanner Houck...and...Chris Sale. One of the relievers whined so loud you could hear him in Western MA...Garret Richards...hadn't pitched past the 4th inning in a month. Interestingly enough...he pitched 3 innings in relief and got the save last night. Maybe he'll earn his $10 million in the pen.

Good morning Retirement Failure Rod...hopefully the storms today will bring a cooldown. I used to love to sit on my father's porch and watch the boomers...now...my niece gets to do it.
Howdy Massachusetts Ford Fans! It's hot and smoky here the last couple days. 81° and 44% RH that's muggy for this area. There are no fires that are close to us, just the smoke.
My home town of Westwood Calif. is on the edge of being burned up by the Dixie Fire. I found a web site that is very interesting about fires, heat maps, inferred maps and satellites. Dixie Fire – Friday the 13th, Part 2. – The Lookout (the-lookout.org) Anyway the fire did burn up an another Gold mine town, Greenville, CA. I think I heard over 1000 buildings lost.
Afternoon Ken, Lin, Tim, Shaun, Rod, Bud and anyone that I missed. Another day of sitting on my backside and watching TV. Currently watching Batman vs Superman.
Hope all are well today.
Feel much better today and hope all others do too.
I think I hear thunder last night but not sure.. had earplugs in but could feel the rumble... no rain
Went to BJ's and picked only items that I get the Gas discount on, that I WILL use or eat. I just filled up there with 28 gallons for $1.91
Forgot about tax free w/e, but there really isn't anything I want to buy
Evening all...weather here is starting to cool a bit...currently down to 81* with 51% relative humidity...not bad actually. Gonna sit out on the deck and enjoy supper...just a ham...roast beef...and...cheese n a water roll...some of the fruit salad I made the other day...wash it all down with a soft drink. All the boomers they were talking about went elsewhere...a fair amount of sunshine this afternoon.
Got the Saawx on the tube...once again they're laying some hurt on the NO's...leading 14-2 in the bottom of the 5th. Saawx have clubbed 3 home runs so far.
Hope y'all are having a great day!!!

Evening Neil...HAPPY BIRTHDAY young man!!! It sucks that you have to celebrate it in the horse-pital...but...it is what it is. Make the most of it!!!

Good evening Lin...glad you're feeling better!!! Nothing special here as far as the weather was concerned...just more hot and humid today. $1.91 for 28 gallons of gas...that must be some kind of record or something...like 7 cents a gallon. I get my Stop & Shop Go Points that I use on gas...currently sitting on $1.10 off per gallon...I usually put in 17+/- gallons in an 18.2 gallon tank. It sure adds up.

Sorry Ken and I will try to do better next retirement.
Lin glad today is a better day!
Tim, yesterdays rain/storms knocked out the 95° and 65% humidity yesterday. Pretty nice today at 83° 78%.
Neil they will never get the fart smell out the mattress when you are done with it!
Evening Rod...you know what they say..."Practice makes perfect." I think you've retired 3 times...maybe the 4th time is a charm. 78% RH doesn't sound pretty nice to me!!!
Evening Ken and how was your deck sitting and lunch?
I would agree 78% does not sound nice but the temperature was 78°. Index was 79° which is far better than the 100-108° we were having! LOL
We have had two rains and a little boomer pass and the temperature is mow 74° and RH is 88%.. I haven't been out for a while to see how it feels! Still hearing boomers to the south.
Ahh Ken you got me... $1.91/gallon and I took 28 gallons. I think it is only good to 30 gallons so I was lucky as I needed gas very very soon but I always forget how big my tank is.
Now, did I NEED all the items I bought to get that price, well... no but they are Tasty !
Weather break from the heat today take that heat !
Maybe I will get the lawn done
Good morning Massachusetts...and....all who visit!!! What an absolutely splendiferous Sunday morning in Western MA...woke up to 68* with comfortable humidity...now up to 72* with a mostly sunny sky. Quite a change in the weather...the A/C will get a rest today for sure!!!
A great morning for brekkie on the banks of the CT River in Turners Falls. We had take out from The Shady Glen...about 100 yards down the road. I stopped at McDonalds and picked up our coffees...love McD's bitter coffee...hot and black...just like it comes out of the pot. Great friends...great food...great conversation.
Lots of slacking on the agenda today...finished my book last night...started another one. Gonna read the morning paper...some Suzy Homemaker stuff lots of slacking.
Saawx edged the No's yesterday...16-2...looking to bring the brooms out this afternoon.
Hope y'all have a great day!!!

Ravens won their 18 pre-season game in the row by outlasting the Saints last evening.
Morning Bud...you know what they say..."The early bird catches the worm." By 0845 hours we had already finished our brekkie and were enjoying our coffees and conversation. Exhibition games don't mean much...but...I'd rather win them than lose them. Extra game in the regular season this year...should be interesting.

Good morning Lin...just busting your ****...sometimes I'm an absolute a$$...just ask the guys in "The Club". Enjoy the break in the weather...good luck with the lawn. Stop and Shop cut back on their program...only good for up to 20 gallons. No bigs for me with the 18.2 gallon tank.
