According to the Boston Radar the Eye has fell apart in the last hour. One large outer band of heavy rain is moving east to west across Massachusetts at a fast speed. Sure there is some high wind in it!
Rod, that radar shows it just hitting me then. It wasn't that bad as far as rain or wind. Sure got both but it was fast. No built up water near the drains on the street.
But yes we are going to get wind gusts which I am ok with... better then being on the south coast
Let us know how things go Ken. I am thinking you might loose power with all the rain and tress that may come down. Hope not as it's gonna get to be a Hotten' mid week and without AC that will suck.
You know this year is the 1st year that my AC has been used almost constantly for over a month ! Course it could be that I am more willing to pay more this year due to Hot Flashes and I am home 24/7 now lol
Tim that is what the Gluten Free beer bread looks like.
The Cowboy Candy is always good. Each batch is different because the peppers are always different by batch
Good afternoon all...just some steady light rain so far...promise is that it will get heavier and some gusty winds later on. Prognosticators are calling for 3-6" of rain...depending on how Henri progresses. There is bound to be lots of trees coming down with the combination of the saturated ground along with the new rainfall and the winds. Hope y'all are safe in you little slice of heaven.

Stay dry Ken
Howdy Lin...you were posting while I was tying this morning. I'm in for the day after my morning adventure...Tuna is snuggling next to me near my 'puter...he doesn't make it easy to type as his tail swishes across the keyboard. Hope Henri doesn't hurt you too bad!!!

Good afternoon Bud...so far no word about "work" tomorrow...I'm assuming there wont be any issues. They have a monster natural gas fired generator in case of power failures. You're right about the storm...west of the eye is always wetter...east of the eye is always windier. I'm hunkered down until tomorrow AM. I just talked to my niece who lives in southern CT...reports of up to 8" of rain in her area. She and hubby along with the expensive boat and their furbabies are safe up here at his mothers house.

Reports now are that the heaviest rain should stall and head west...will spare us for the time being. Tomorrow it's supposed to head back this way. My A/C usually doesn't get fired up until mid afternoon at the earliest. I don't care what the electric bill is.

She always does Ken and I know what she's planning..
The clinic medical director and his wife bought a place on Duke's Island...that's the one to the west of Nantucket on John's map. Just a little million dollar place...not right on the water. Hopefully they didn't experience any damage.

According to radar.
Just a fairly steady rain with some wind here...no damage that I know of. Henri is supposed to head west and come back tomorrow...the center of the storm will be north of us. We're still scheduled to receive 3-6" of rain.
Good evening all...so far Henri has been a big nothing burger here...a little wind...less than an inch of rain. About 30 miles south...a different story...lots of rain...more devastating wind. He's supposed make a return pass late tonight/early tomorrow...we'll be on the south side...don't know what will happen then. But...we'll see.
Supper in the oven...Stouffers French Bread Pizza...quick...easy...tasty...virtually no clean up.
