Baseball and COVID..... lousy rules I don't understand.

 

Afternoon all,
Was talking with some fellow Medical persons today and we all agree that sometime late fall we might go into another lock down. I think someone said that the CDC also was thinking this. But the numbers are really starting to go back up with the Delta variant that is not very publicly known. I think it was FL and TX that are ramping up. Not all the people in the ICUs are the un-vaccinated ones.
So please wear your mask when around others just to be on the safe side..................... and buy Toilet Paper NOW

Other then that I was working on an Xbox that had an issue but after fixing one thing it was another thing... trash can it went.

No rain here today, maybe next week.

Good late afternoon all...just an uncomfortable day in Western MA...temp hit 86* with 60% RH...hazy sunshine...chance of scattered showers till bout midnight. A/C is humming away. Hope it's more comfortable in your neck of the woods.

Saawx may have hit bottom today...they blew a 7-2 fifth inning lead...losing to the Jays 9-8 on a 3 run homer by George Springer...off the Saawx closer Matt Barnes. The 2 guys were team mates at UCONN...drafted in the same year...Springer 11th...and...Barnes 19th. Today 11 got the better of 19.

Finished up a novel today...gonna start another one tonight.

Supper is almost ready...hot dogs...sauerkraut...homemade coleslaw.

Not sure what you don't understand Bud...if they're tested...they must sit out until negative result is achieved. Test positive...shut down for at least 10 days...until there are two negative results.

Howdy Lin...I'm thinking that were going to have some sort of restrictions due to the Delta Variant...and others. Despite their protestations...the unvaccinated MUST get vaccinated. An overwhelming majority of the COVID patients jamming hospital rooms and ICU are unvaccinated. People are starting to take it more seriously as vaccination rates are increasing...especially in Red states where most of the vaccine hesitancy resides. As for masks...I've started wearing one in public settings...practicing social distancing. I'm not taking any chances...a COVID positive diagnosis for me is likely a death sentence...and...I'm not ready to go yet. There are too many people in "The Cub" for me continue to pi$$ off.

Howdy Rod...the new read is an old one...Undue Influence by Steve Martini. He's a lawyer turned author who writes novels heavy on the legal side. I've read about 6 of his novels...always a good read.

I picked up a dozen farm fresh eggs along with some veggies from my favorite farm stand...operated by a brother sister team...now 13 years old...they're twins. They've been operating the stand for 6 years now. Early on...their parents helped a lot...now...it's all them.

I'm thinking it's at least a 1 Katie Day...Katie Lyn usually opens Saturday #1. Tomorrow is her birthday...I made some cupcakes to celebrate. Katie Beth's birthday was last Weekend Eve...she got some cupcakes as well. Gotta take care of my girls!!!

Time to shut the 'puter down. Type at 'ya 'morrow!!!

4 eggs today and they are getting a bit bigger. Hung a Corn Cob up by the pulled back husks on string. Kept the hens a little busy today as it was swinging lol

Good morning Massachusetts...and...those who visit this Saturday #1...hope y'all had a great weekend...now...back at it for those of you who are still at it!!! Gonna be another uncomfortable day here...not because of the heat...low to mid 80s for a high...but...extremely humid...chance of showers most of the day. Hope it's nicer in your little slice of heaven!!!

I'm still having trouble believing how the Saawx blew yesterdays game...the bull pen really let them down. Since the All Star break...the Saawx have dropped 5 1/2 games in the standings. Unless they get it together pronto...the teams below them better wear hard hats!!!

Lin...too bad about the game. Jonathan was hot for a PS 5 around Christmas time...when the only way you could get one was to pay twice + what they were selling for...$1000-$1500. Now that you can get them readily...he's not interested...figures the games for it are too expensive...$70+.

That is one thing I hate about Xmas, kids want stuff and then they lose interest fast on things that cost $$$$
The same xbox 360 I was fixing I saw on FB for $60 w/ like 40 games. It's like Cell phones, they get the people that HAVE to have the latest and greatest and they pay out the nose, only for it to be out did by a new phone 5 months later

Well, I'm going to have to go over and talk with the trash neighbor. Last night trash Panda brought his whole family over Only a matter of time till they come across the street to the coop. So better nip that completely in the butt now!
