Ken MS MA they close! At least on my keyboard! LOL
Lin, try one of the uniform places for painters pants. Like Ken I haven't drank the lousy tasting Big breweries stuff for a while. Not even Coors! When they started shipping it east of the Mississippi, they changed something. It tastes as bad as Busch of Miller! I do more of the PIA's now days.
the one Anheuser-Busch I do buy is the Gluten free Redbridge for cooking and baking!
Shaun don't tell the Officer that come to check you "Osafer take me drunk I'm home!!" because it may not end well.
I use some liquor in cooking and buy a couple of specific wines to cook with.
Morning John and glad you are getting some rain to wet down the fires.
Tim the rains are gone for now and we are 86°, 70% RH and index of 91° and it isn't noon yet!
All my outdoors chores are done and now on to my Domestic HouseHusband chores!! OH one load of laundry done and now to the dishes and some baking.
I have to make a loaf of GF Beer Bread and a pan of GF Cornbread for tomorrow.
I drink a few beers here and there but not much. Same with the wine, rum, bourbon, cognac, whiskey and a few others I have. Most s for cooking anymore. Although I do need to get back up to Canada to get some more wine from one of my favorite vineyards. Of course I have to wait until the border reopens.
I mainly drink one of two beers out of Oregon, both IPAs. I sometimes cook with a pillsner also craft made in Oregon. We slow cooked a roast beef the other day and used a Guinness stout. It was ok, I think it would have tasted better with a pillsner.
Good afternoon all...damn...it's uncomfortable out...currently 86* with 75% RH...the A/C is poised...just gotta push the button on the remote!!! According to the latest weather report from CNN...Henri is now a full fledged hurricane...and...it's current path takes it directly up the CT River Valley. With the current path...it's gonna be nasty here tomorrow into Saturday #1.

We got a little rain last night that should with the local fire. Currently 62° and 80% RH
I hope Henry doesn't cause too much trouble.
John, Glad to hear you are getting some rain.
Howdy Tim...that's just way too humid...the temp makes it tolerable though. Hopefully the fires are under control. Henri is going to give us a wild ride. I'd rather be on the wet side...the west...than the windy side...the east. The ground is so saturated from the heavy rain on Saturday #4...it probably doesn't matter...trees are going to come cown.

I have to buy Painters pants and Wally world is the only place that MIGHT have them. I went to 2, chelmsford and Tewksbury and nothing in my size I got a pair in brown (think Carhatt work pants so that will have to do for now. I may just go to Framingham to that one and see and then Harbor Freight (just because) to get out of the house as I'll be stuck in all day tomorrow.
Good $ off the gas ! I shop groceries at Market Basket... Gotta watch my pennies after buying this truck cash
I don't drink a whole lot either...gotta watch fluid intake...so...I generally buy singles from my favorite packie...Ryan and Casey on Main St. They have an absolutely splendiferous selection of beer...I refuse to drink sheatty beer...especially at my age.
Sounds like you've taken the job as a painter if you're looking for painters pants. When do you start??? Let your fingers do the walking...check 'em out on the inter-web.
I was happy with the discount on gas this morning...saved $15.20 on just under 17 gallons...they only honor the discount for 20 gallons.

Good afternoon Rod...you know that wasn't me...it was my evil twin. It's no wonder why people hate me. 86* with RH of 70% is almost as bad as us...it's so humid...my garage floor is wet. It's cut into the hill side...so...all but the door is under ground.

We haven't cooked much with hard alcohol.
Most beers are good. I dont use coors or miller for tyhe most part. Especially the light beers. Guinness is a good one I use when making stews, and sometimes chili. I will use certain wines for cooking things like roasts, pasta sauces and the like. and rum , whiskey and the like go well with alot of dishes especially some desserts like bananas foster. That takes a good splash of rum. Whiskey I will use for home made bbq sauce.
Shaun.... you know Canada does ship things lol
Only beer I've 'cooked' with is for Breads and they have to be Good heavy beers to give a great flavor. Guinness, some Stouts make for better breads. Also Stews. But since My DD is picky and doesn't really like stew much , it's just ME and really.. not worth it making a stew for one :P
Yes Ken, took the Painting job, will do a few weeks and see how it goes.
I found pants at Sherman Williams and was lucky they have my size... well I still need to try them on but I am sure they will be fine. I don't want to play dress up for a job anymore, nothing fits
Good evening Lin...lurkers from far and wide. it remained uncomfortable this afternoon...and...Henri has take yet another turn...coming right up the CT River Valley...prognosticators are calling for 3-5" of rain for us...along with tropical storm force winds. It's gonna be a mess. Looks like he's gonna make landfall in the Montauk. Long Island area...my niece lives in the area...about 35 miles from the LI Sound. What they can get inside they've got inside...what they can't they've secured. They hooked up their boat and are headed to Greenfield where her husband's mother lives. They don't want to take any chances with the boat...paid $80,000 for it just last year. They've loaded up the dogs...2 Chihuahuas...both elderly...and...a year old kitten. Gotta make sure the kids are OK.
Lin...congrats on the job...no shortage of work for good painters. Good luck with it.
Started a new book today..."The Witching Hour" by Anne Rice. This one should last a while...just under 1000 pages...I've only read the first chapter so far...25 pages...and...already I'm hooked.
Tonight...some Saawx...some book. Hope y'all have a great evening.

Good evening Massachusetts, Ken, Lin, Shaun, Tim, John and Saturday evening crew.
Congratulations Lin on the painters job. I hope you like it and have fun!
I like a good dark Lager PIA/s. If I am out and PIA isn't an option I shoot for Yuengling Lager. I do like the big brewery A-B's Redbridge in the Gluten Free side. It seems to be the #1 in the GF community!
Speaking of Beer Bread, here is a fresh loaf of Gluten Free Beer Bread made about 2 hours ago and cooling!
I tend to cook with the Yuengling it GF isn't required!
I have quite a few wines from around the area and larger Wineries.
Wine Tree Vineyards Light House
Landshut Riesling Breitenbach Wine Cellars Road House Red - Sweet Desert wine
Biltmore Wines
Some are for enjoying and others are for cooking - but ya gat to taste them to make sure they are breathing before cooking! LOL!
Ken, No worries on getting a poke in here and there with me. Should be able to do that about every day! LOL
Shaun, What Canada Wine do you like? I am willing to try something new! LOL
Tim I have a very well stocked cabinet and some are for drinking and others cooking or baking.
I have a really good Brown Sugar Muffin recipe. I sometimes add Wild Turkey 101, Crown, Crown Apple or Canadian Select Club Pecan Praline, GOOD stuff!
Becky picked enough Jalapenos today and bade four half pints each of Cowboy Candy and Glaze!
Good Sunday morning Massachusetts, Ken, Chris, Lin, Don and all the crew. looking at Satellite and Radar imagery out flow has hit and the eye should be making land fall at Rhode Island about any time. they say 70mph winds and gusts in the 90's.
Good morning Massachusetts...and...all who visit this Sunday morning!!! Woke up today to gray skies...some wind...no rain. All of that is going to change for us however as Henri gets closer. As you may have seen...it looks like he's shifted East again...gonna land on the Eastern CT/RI coast line. We'll be West of it...gonna get a lot of rain...but...the winds shouldn't be too bad...30-40 MPH. Hope you're safe wherever you are!!!
Saawx rolled over and played dead against the Rangers last night...seven pitchers allowed 17 base hits and 10 runs...the defense committed 5 errors...and...base runners ran into at least 3 outs...2 at home plate. Just a disgusting display against a team that is 26 games behind the Saawx in the standings. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!
Not a whole lot on the schedule today...probably pick up a morning paper before the weather starts going downhill.
Hope y'all have a great day!!!

Good morning Rod...indeed Henri is landing East of where they thought just yesterday...we're on the West side...the wet side.
Morning Ken, Lin, Don, John, all MASS and visitors. Be very careful Saturday #1 Ken. Looks like rain all day that day too for you. Lin's forecast looks much better than yours for rain but she'll have higher wind gusts they are saying now. Both of you take care.
