Good late morning all...by the time I left for "work" this morning...the rain was falling. Currently dry...but...extremely humid...87% RH. Hope it's more comfortable in your neck if the woods.

Looks like Hurricane Henri will make a direct hit here. Got lots of thinking to do on the chicken run.
Morning Lin...from early reports...just property damage in Clinton. According to this mornings early weather...I'll be on the west side of Henri...the windy and wet side. They're calling for much more rain than we got from Fred. Careful at the supermarket.

Good friend and neighbor has a place on Martha's Vineyard. Doesn't look too good for that place. It's an old house....hope it survives.

Ken, have a good day at "work" today !

Good morning Bud...see above about what I heard of the storm...your friend my luck out. Those old houses were built a whole lot better than they build them now.

"Work" wasn't great this morning...BP refused to cooperate...so...they weren't able to extract as much fluid as was hoped for. I'll have another shot on Saturday #1...gotta be extremely careful about weekend fluid intake. On a positive note...Katie Beth was my primary today...kept on top of things and avoided any more serious issues. Have I ever mentioned what a sweetheart she is??? In addition to her excellent care...she showed me some more pics of her new nephew...Matthew Joseph...all 9 pounds and 22" of him. He's definitely a big boy...full head of hair also.

Good morning John...bears are opportunistic feeders...and...they'll keep coming back. Hopefully you and Frances aren't inviting them to your place by leaving garbage outside. How's the fire situation up there???

Good morning Ken and the Massey crew, TGIF! Rained here earlier, calling for severe storms this evening. I'll be tucking the 2015 away in the garage. Of course, have to pull the wife's car out for that, but, mine's worth more!

Fantastic Friday Afternoon Massachusetts, Ken, Lin, Don, Bud, Tim, John, Shaun, George and all the crew.
Looks like you are in for some rain. We had it most of this week!

Ken Sorry you had less than Ideal day at work. Lunch and a Nap and feel better about it later! OH Maybe ya should'a ate a couple a big old salty and creasy sausage patties this morning! LOL

Lin I would say the you may want to take down anything that could fly and give the girls something to stand on about neck high.

John like Ken said Bears are opportunistic garbage feeders!

Tim, How is the smoke out west? John same for you up north!

Lin, The new tail lights sound pretty nifty!

I hope everyone stays safe that are facing the approaching storms.

It's smoky here again today!

We never store garbage outdoors, only use one can and keep it in the garage. There are several people around here that are too damn lazy to get the garbage out to the street on pick up days so end up leaving it outside where they tend to forget it again pickup days..never learn..

Good late afternoon all...OK nap today...now...I'm trying to get an account straightened out with the bank...got a notice saying they're going to escheat a small account to the state. The state isn't getting any of my $$$. Some sprinkles this afternoon...nothing to write home about though.

Howdy Pat...I see you've read "How To Win Friends And Influence People" recently. I'm sure Connie will be happy that her Edge is getting evicted.

Good afternoon Rod...hope your weekend is going well. As for "work"...not a whole lot anyone can do about it. Katie kept me safe and I walked out and drove home after treatment. They have a very professional staff...top to bottom. I'm imagoning that Henri will affect you as well...hope it's just a glancing blow. How's your first weekend from your new job going???

Howdy Lin...I'll bet that you'd like to see some of those big squirrels around your place...wouldn't you??? Good job on on the lights...just keep an eye on the traffic in front of you....you don't want anyone stopping short and running into them.

Howdy Tim...hopefully the netting keeps the critters from your grapes. Are they for eating or for wine??? We should be OK from the storm...just gonna be a lot of water which could cause issues with trees as the ground is still soaked from yesterdays rain....and...of course...there's always the chance of street and low land flooding.

I figured you had it under control...lots of bear activity in the general area...mostly from people with bird feeders. Many years ago...after I moved into my branny new home a few towns over...I was standing in front of the sliders in my Master Bedroom...drinking a cup of joe...looking out into the backyard. Suddenly my dog went spastic...barking and jumping against the glass. I looked more carefully and saw 2 bear cubs playing on the property line. I'm sure mmm was close by keeping an eye on the kids.

It's not the bears...it's the people's stupidity...don't leave garbage out...don't feed the birds. They represent no effort food for the bears...and...they will keep coming back.

Oh now see HERE, the 'city folk' see a bear... not eating garbage but maybe bird feeder seed... and FREAK. I just shake my head because it hits the news and everyone gets so upset.
IT'S THEIR LAND EEJITS. lol

Ok I am thinking of running to the Packie for some Zinfandel wine, not something I have had in eons. It's the Storm that's making me do it
