BTW I've noticed that just recently I'm not able to pull up any images of trucks from username. Used to be able to just hover over the username and a link would then appear below. Click and there was the image. Is that feature gone? Or just temporarily not working.

I need to fix the images, it got out of wack when I had those extra rows showing up.

Do you want a tutorial how it is constructed, or how to read it?

I've thought of putting together a video of how to understand the different tabs.

The spreadsheet is assembled using data supplied by the users, some of the columns are created by Decoding the VIN, and most of the data is retrieved from the Ford Customer Tracking Database (not an official name).

Several times a day, Google sheets retrieves the JSON data from the server and populates the spreadsheet.

What you see is actually several spreadsheets coming together. The options are created using conditional formatting applied to the JSON data. Same with rear axle data.

The renderings are quite interesting. Ford has an image generator which generates an image with the submitted option string. I think I can trick it into showing frankentrucks but haven't tried yet.

The STP dates I enter manually by reviewing each window sticker when it becomes available. That data is not in the Ford info, but possibly the most important column on the spreadsheet.

And what a fine machine it is when it runs the way you like it Phoenixfla.

you’ve done some great work here and the spreadsheet is a vital resource to the people that use it.

my Truck is somewhere in the Build right now. I think I have Warn your Spreadsheet out today watching for tonight’s update, lol. It will be done soon enough…

I’ll probably be out of hear in a few weeks or so. I look forward to posting a few photos for the group here.

Thank you Phoenixfla. I appreciate, with everybody else, all that work you do.

Nice looking truck!! I ordered one from Bickford in Snohomish back in June and it's finally in production

@Phoenixfla Thank you for building this sheet! Cool to see the additional info. Not sure how to 'user populate' but the dealer told me my build week was 10/18.

I would be interested in a tutorial on how it is constructed and how the data is pulled from the different sources. Maybe a little on how JSON data works.

Where do I begin?

I was inspired by the "view raw data" button on the bottom of the Mach e tracker. As I researched it more I discovered that when a query is made to the Ford database it returns a large string of Json data. When you click on that button on the Mach E tracker you can see a lot of the data that is available.

I knew if I could get that into a spreadsheet it would allow me to track a lot more vehicles as before I wouldn't have to manually track each truck each day which is what I was doing on a small scale.

So I spent an enormous amount of time trying to figure out how to pull that Json data into Google Sheets. I read tutorials, watch videos, and studied up in general and struggled, for weeks, I tried 5 different add ons to Google Sheets which should have retrieved the data and imported it into a spreadsheet. Nothing worked. I had emailed the creator of the Mach E tracker and the Ford F150 tracker with questions. I could not figure out the missing piece.

I finally struck gold with a add-on called "SyncWith". It works fairly well but I still get a fair amount of errors but those could be from the Ford database side.

If you want to try building a spreadsheet then read up on how syncwith works and set it up to where the order number and VIN numbers are the two variables that are submitted to the API. Syncwith allows hourly, daily or manual updates. I have it set on hourly but it doesn't reset the timer until it completes the last update so it's actually more like every 2 to 3 hours. Plus sometimes it gets hung up and I have to manually kickoff an update. Once you get the data imported then it's just a matter of sorting it, color coding, organizing and applying conditional formatting.

I'd be happy to help someone set one up, but I've got to warn you, its a lot of work. I know the Bronco community would really appreciate one, maybe mavericks too.

OK Thanks. Not looking to set one up right now but was interested in what's behind the scenes. Even more impressive considering that you had to put quite a bit of effort into figuring it out. If I do ending up wanting to put one together I'll take a stab and then ask more specific questions. Would be a great subject for a YouTube video.

Window Sticker

Wondering if not having a window sticker 2 days before schedule week build is normal? I just have a feeling it's been pushed back however my salesman tells me everything is still on track. Anyone experienced this?

To good to be true

When I ordered my 2nd truck on 10/13 code 10 i received my vin and build week as 11/8 the next day. I received notice sunday that I have been moved to 11/15. I knew that first build week was too good to be true. I hope I dont go through what some of you have. Mine is a simple build, xlt screw nothing special in options rw liners, bed mat, premium chrome pkg., 7.3

I dont think the first truck was even ordered. I have never been able to get info from dealer or ford cs. I placed 2nd order with a different dealer. X plan buyer
