All Right-Tah.
Original order was made 3/26, had a build date of 8/11 but the dealer screwed up and canceled the order 7/30 which I found out in September....soooo the process started over. I stuck with the dealer against the advice of quite a few people as they were bending over backwards to keep me as a customer. Knocked 1500 bucks off the price and were they were able to work with the regional manager to get the truck pushed quicker. With them working with the regional manager was one of the main reasons for me sticking. From Ford today I received my build date of 10/4 and VIN# so back on the sheet as soon as it's updated. We'll see how this works.
That's great news! I was wondering if you were able to work something out. Plus a discount!
Just got a vin and a scheduled build date of October 18. Just put order in last Monday so seems they may be moving along better. King ranch ultimate with adaptive steering.
Here's a trick for those of you like me who are calling the CSX railcar tracking phone number frequently:
If you save the right string of numbers, pauses, and # signs as a contact on your phone, you can automate the entire input process so you don't have to type or say anything.
First, put one or two pauses between each part of the process. On most phones, entering a "pause" gets represented as a comma in the string.
Second, for the part where you need to enter the letters for the railcar initials, use a series of two-digit numbers where the first digit is the keypad number with the letter you want and the second digit indicates if you want the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th letter for that keypad number. For example, the letter "T" would be 81 and the letter "X" would be 92. After the last number, enter a # sign.
Third, for the part where you need to enter the railcar numbers, enter a # sign after the numbers.
Last, for the part where they ask you to say "Done", enter two ## signs.
Put that all together and you'll get a contact phone number which looks like this: (800)235-2352,1,81814192#,983148#,##
Now each call to track my truck from Louisville to Seattle is much easier!
The speed dial saved contact works awesome. Thanks a lot.
Still no updates. Went in production on Sept 2 and now it's Sept 15 and still nothing. Contacted the dealer and the Manager said he doesn't have any updates on his end, I wonder what is holding it up. Estimate dealer delivery is 10/2. I even got my f250 activation button on my fordpass.
Any update? Mines been in this status since 9/9 so far. Was supposed to be built yesterday with no update.
I've been tracking the rail path of the truck since it left KTP. KTP > Cincinatti > Pottersburg, OH > Gibson, IN.
It arrived in Gibson,IN yesterday afternoon at 3:45 PM, which is the IHB Gibson Yard, presumably, and is still there this morning. I appears the closest yard on the Ramp Codes spreadsheet is the Chicago, IL terminal, right next to the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant.
I had lost the "Activate Vehicle" button in the FordPass app early this week when I switched vehicles within the app. The button reappeared this morning, making me believe the truck was turned back on to offload.
Contacted my salesman for rail car number and he said he has a CSX car number but is waiting for a BNSF # didn't mention UP #. Isn't the rail car number the same all the way tru transportation?

So are you saying they unload and reload on a different car? That will add to the risk of damage with unloading and reloading. I guess this is a learning process for me might have been better to not track it and avoid my mind thinking of a worst case scenario.
Well, disappointed again this morning! Had a build DAY of 9/16. Got an updated VVR yesterday that still showed the same build day so thought for sure would get built yesterday. Maybe today?

My Ford emails were a full day behind the actual event with regard to Built and Shipped. My build week was 9/13 and it was built on 9-14 and I was notified on 9-15. You might be good.
