Could be longer... My order date was 7/3, my tenative build week was pushed to 10/4 today. I called and told the dealer I am done waiting, found a truck on the internet and made a deposit this morning, I should have it before they can even get that other order built, much less shipped halfway across the country.
I really think it has to do with the dealer and their status more than anything. There is no other way to look at it IMHO. I get a truck in 10 weeks and you're bumped. That's B.S. Retail orders should be FIFO.

I'm thinking the same thing. I have always bought local from small town dealer. This small town dealer is a second generation deal. The old man that started it did just fine but his boys are not the most astute. No way they would be where they are with out the old man's silver spoon. I ordered 3/26 and not built yet. Probably should have put in an order with a bigger dealership and just told them I'd buy from whoever got it first.
Thanks. Do you know which rail yard (location) yours will be delivered to (CH27)?
There is a big yard in Bloomington, CA. that offloads rail cars for L.A./Metro area. It's the only one I know of, which is about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. There could be others but this one is visible from I-10.
BNSF has a big yard in Commerce, CA., about 5 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It can be seen from the freeway but I never see vehicle rail cars in there.

It is a bit disappointing for sure. After waiting this long already the bump this morning was the last straw for me. Fortunately I found one really close to what I had ordered and a dealer that has been super responsive. I started the day bummed that my truck was going to take even longer than what was already too long and I will finish the day with my new truck bought, paid for, and ready to hot shot my way. Sold my old truck to my step son for cheap, everybody wins despite Fords attempts to ruin my day.
It has been especially painful since one of the reasons I chose the dealer I did initially was their claim of better allocation than my other choices. That didn't work out so well at all....

Congratulations on your new truck, we'll want pictures.
Try not to take the delays with the ordered truck too personally either. I ordered a 21 in February, it was built in May and sent to purgatory (as was my sanity). Ordered a 22 in June which I received late August. It was a long miserable wait. Ford could have been more communicative, but in the end it worked out.
Oh, and the 21 was delivered 13 days after the 22.

On the Ramp Codes spreadsheet, this one seems the closest to LA.
<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->
4500 Etiwanda Ave
Jurupa Valley, CA 91752
Now the original spreadsheet I pulled this from (See Original Facility Guide Tab) has been wrong in a few instances on whether Fords are delivered to a specific location,
If you end up tracking your truck to the final rail yard, can you let me know where it went?

Looking at the map the Jurupa location is what I recall as it's near the I-15 / SR60 interchange. I got confused as I pass by a Flying -J on both routes. I will track it and advise.

Thanks, I've only been to Cali twice, never in that area so it may as well be Mars to me. Haha.

YOU have been more help than Ford or the dealer ever even tried to be, thanks for all the work you put into the trackers and tutorial posts. I know it isn't personal but their system is BROKEN if my experience is any indication. If they intend to sell more trucks via customer orders they had better step up the program substantially. Had somebody associated with Ford been ANY help at all I may have been able to make some changes and get the ordered truck sooner. As you mention though, the communication is abysmal at best.
I am still getting a '22 F350 7.3 like I wanted with a couple plusses and a couple minuses over the order. The best part has been Bill Estes Ford in Brownsburg Indiana coming through on so many levels. I should have my new truck well over a month before the ordered one. No response from the dealer I ordered from yet, I left them a message this morning...
I will post pics like all of the other happy new owners, looking forward to joining that club soon!
I def think its all about the dealers and the allocations that they have if u are a dealer that sells alot of trucks in a year then u get more allocations and your trucks will get built faster than a dealer that doesnt sell many. Its not personal and I think it should show that the dealer u chose to order from may be the most important decision u make not whether to get a heated steering wheel or not

So just screw the people that do not live in or care to deal with large metro areas? What it should be about is the CUSTOMER period. If they want customers to customer order they need to treat ALL of the orders the same, FIFO. You SHOULD be able to order from the dealer closest to you and receive fair treatment. Favoring dealers is a BS program.
