Btw, all the Lunati parts, except the camshaft itself will be here this week. I was told that most of the camshaft blanks came from foundry in state next to a large lake that bears the same name, and those employees are riding the covid gravy train.
Well if I worked next to a big lake, I would not get much work done either. I'd be fishing all the time.....I mean out on a "union supported smoke break". And I do not smoke. How to you get gravy from covid? And is that the Lunati combat train you talk of? Or the rail gun? Captain I feel she is coming off the rails....

It's from the Voodoo line, so I'm not sure if it uses conventional weaponry, or some kinda Area 51 technology. I'm not sure I'll post those decals. The decal side of the safe faces my TIG welding table. I already have enough trouble TIG welding.
Oh look at you, you machinist. Awesome! Has that been Scrappy QC/QA'ed yet?
Scrap hasn't commented much on this engine yet. I imagine when the box of Lunati decals and bicycle sprockets gets here, she'll get interested. I forgot to take pics of the block sitting on my Bridgeport milling machine's table. I don't want to repeat that job again!
The 460 I bought came with full front dress, including Saginaw pump and bracket. That was one of the reasons I wanted it. But now it looks like I won't use any of it. I'll probably go with this... https://www.cvfracing.com/big-block-...nt-alternator/

If your going a complete pulley kit system you should be o.k.
When I installed my 460....I picked up a brand new for a great price never installed Weiand aluminum water pump. Think it was a Weiand. Anyways that thru my pulleys a little out of alignment. The alternator and alternator bracket was fine but when I did the Saginaw pump conversion I bought the CVF racing power steering pump bracket kit. Well the ps pump pulley was about a half a groove width off from the water pump pulley. Ended up finding another/different water pump pulley single groove where the offset was correct so everything lined up.
About a month or so ago I did/rebuilt the lower crank pulley to a micro groove pulley for the alternator. I upgraded the alternator to a 3G set up and could never get rid of the belt squeal on the initial start of the engine (especially when cold) or if you stood on the gas pedal. Now no more belt squeal. I did a write up with pictures.
Another gun maker huh? Where do you work out of? I’m a barrel maker.
Did most of the work machining/adapting the crank micro groove pulley and the front two groove pulley in the shop. Nice having access to milling machines and lathes. Also fixed a broken/stripped threaded hole in the DOVE heads as well.
Yep Shortbox, I occasionally put my lathe and milling machines to work on misc work. A mill is something I don't need every day, but when I do, it's the only thing that can perform the task. It definitely came in handy boring that bolt out squarely. I PM'd you.
Ah yea I hate it when I drink and parts surf. Does say....
Solid Steel Mounts
And they are not kidding either.
I hate it when I THINK and parts surf!
Yeah, solid mounts that bolt right up to a factory frame, seems counterintuitive. The only situation in which I'd use solid mounts, is with a custom frame. And of course that would require custom mounts.
"If your 460 has the 4 larger bolts, 2 at the timing cover, 2 at the rear main cap, You will need to drill the holes in the gasket using a 5/16 drill bit."
