...There was a guy around here selling engines for $2-2.5k most had less than 200k on them.
That’s what I charge for complete engines when I sell them. $1500 labor for R&R engine on 4R100 trucks and my cost for any PM or upgrade parts. Most people get out of here for under $5k.
That includes paint and you choose the colors!! Lol.
But, this isn’t CA and my overhead is very, very low....

If the cost of a rebuild is painful, would you be comfortable with a junkyard engine? Sacramento has some large yards that specialize if you are in the area.
Thank you. I've been calling around. Salvage yards are saying they sell them as fast as they get them...there must be a lot of guys throwing bolts down their intakes! Still waiting on numbers. thanks guys.

People (playfully) busted my chops for not using Benjamins for that event, but that's not Photo-Shopped - not one pixel. It was breezy that day, and I was unwilling to risk a Benny floating off. My loving wife was kind enough to work with me to get the series of photos to make that work.
