I do the same thing now instead of driving 20 minutes into town. We live in the country and I can drive 20 minutes the other direction and be at Love's just off the interstate. So, my pre-trip fuel fill up station has been moved to the Love's instead of the grocery store in town.
Now your McDonald's or Subway meal will be free!
Great!
Does the app show all gas stations or just those the program works with?
I have only logged in twice, so I am not sure. I just looked through the settings and took a screenshot which is below.
Even with show all locations on, I could only see Loves, Pilot, Flying J, Petro and TA. I could have been doing something wrong though and need to refresh the map somehow.
It only shows those stations that TSD has a financial relationship with.
A word of caution, the location of the pin on the map isn't always right. One I looked up had it on the west side of the freeway when I know for sure that the station is on the east side of the freeway.

When on show all if you check the price it will show those with discounts and those w/o and what the discount is. Just starting this with the RV and maybe some one here knows if the is all straight diesel? When I drove commercial with the EFS there was no bio-diesel, tried one tank and watched my millage drop.
I looked at the TSD website and what I got from that is that as long as you're in a commercial lane you may get a discount on whatever fuel is there. You can also get DEF, but there isn't likely to be any discount on that.

I didn't look at the DEF price when I fueled today but you buy by the gallon, normally about $2.50 or so not $10+ per box.
I cannot say for sure if DEF is included in the price discount offer, but I don't think it is. I have a 2000 7.3L so when DEF is listed in something I am reading, I tend to skim past that portion of the article/information.
Got my card today and logged in to the app. The Valero a mile down the road has diesel $2.48. The nearest Loves is 2.48 but with the discount $2.12
I checked the Loves out in west Texas and NM where I stop on our CO trips. They are all showing .70 to .75 discount. That will save me about $85 per round trip from here to CO when towing
Might need a fuel tank/tool box for the bed
We are headed to the beach next week for our first camping trip of the season. Due to the fuel savings we should keep on our wallet, two of the nights will be free of charge.
Win/win as far as I am concerned!
Thanks for posting up your findings johndeerefarmer.
We are going to AK this summer from VA so I’m sure the savings will be significant.
One question I have is does this card work in Canada and/or AK?
Thanks.
Never mind. I went on their website and found out that they do offer discounts in Canada but they probably won’t be as much. Still some is better than none!
I used my card for the first time this weekend in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Love's truck stop. Pump price was 2.78 and my net price ended up as 2.33, saving me a total of $19.87 on 44.24 gallons. $.45 per gallon savings is great, far better than the $.08 I could have saved at the next door Flying J with my Good Sam RVPlus card.
I will be using my TSD fuel card for the second time Thursday afternoon after a 600 mile round trip towing our 5th wheel. I must say, this is the first time I am looking forward to refilling most of the 75 gallon capacity we have in the truck.
Great results HRTKD and thanks for posting your experience!
I have cancelled my Flying J/Pilot card and the TSD card now takes its spot in my wallet. Much better discounts and works at more places.
