I feel like they should ask permission before writing up an article on your truck, but I guess because its already on
a public forum there is no need to.
I was looking for a car cover for it. Saw an image and thought that looks familiar. Clicked on the image and the story came up. Really coincidence that I ever found it.
Forgot to mention, I found a cover and will let you all know how it works out once installed.
Last warm day I installed the doors and epoxied the dash. It was bare metal and starting to flash rust. Here's a couple of shots. Oh yeah, I installed the old side pipes for effect. They're rusted through but they do look cool!
Sure wish I knew how to fit the doors. None close right. The back passenger door over lap the drivers side even. The drivers door hangs on the front cowl and the passenger door acts as though it's binding when fully closed, it pops open.
Did you consider spraying some Ospho or just ANYTHING at least to try to stop the rust before leaving it out all winter? Seems like the tarp will just trap in the humidity and cause MORE rust...
Many moons back I bought some Ford car hubcaps for this ole Patinia'd Panel. Today I tripped over them once to often and decided I'd just install them. Backs went on no problem, but fronts were a different story. I had converted the chassis over to 4 wheel disk brakes. In order to do that you change the front hub with a F150 rotor that has the hub combined with the rotor. Even though the assembly bolts to the old spindle the newer rotors hub must protrude out further than the ole drum brake hub. Sooooo guess it's plan B time.
How about these?
