Morning all! Finally Friday. First time in a month I've had to work a full week. I don't really care for it.
Those meme's....
I see our wonderful Governor signed Senate bill 608 yesterday. I bet it's only going to get worse from here....
Yep. I'm surprised that someone (or a trade group) doesn't challenge it in court. I'm not sure how they can't consider this an unlawful taking.
The Warden has actually considered selling her moms property / house in Carlton because of this. I'm not sure how that would work now - not even sure we CAN sell it even if we chose to.
If I understand this crazy law correctly, the current tenants have to have a 90 day vacate notice upon sale. Most Mortgage company's require their mortgagees to occupy their new home within 30 days...….
I wonder if this doesn't constitute a "taking" then? If I was made of money I'd get a lawyer and argue that... but if I was made of money I wouldn't stay here either.
I saw very few arguments in favor of this bill. Most of the stuff I saw on social media was against it and many were renters. I don't get where the logic is or I guess I can't understand the lack of it. Maybe Gov Brown can pat herself and her cronies on the back and say they did something. I think I'll adjust my rental contract to 364 days at the next renewal.
Now we wait so see what kind of stupid happens next.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Supposedly got up to 52° Currently sitting at 41.

It's mostly the Tri-County / Lane and Benton Counties that are doing us in. Trying to make sense of what those legislators are doing is good for a trip to the insane asylum anyway. Wait - in todays politically correct world can we say that?
But just as an example of Salem speak, a couple of years ago we were fighting anti-gun bills. 87 people showed up for a committee hearing to testify against the bills. 32 people showed up in favor. The Senators on the Senate Judiciary committee all agreed that their emails were running right about 300 against to 1 for. So, in the face of all of that opposition against those bills, they passed them anyway.
They also introduced another bill that will go against ODFW Hunting laws and prevent 14 thru 17 year olds from hunting without direct adult supervision. https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2019R1/Measures/Overview/SB817 It doesn't come right out and say they can't hunt, just says you can't transfer the firearm to them without continuous direct adult supervision.
These Demoncrats are just flat out of control. Ceasefire Oregon is going nuts, they're even weighing in demanding the anti coyote hunting bill get passed.
More silliness in Salem. Actually, this one is also a direct insult to the voters in the State of Oregon. Apparently the vote we had here in Oregon about 4 years and 4 months years ago didn't count. What 66% of the Oregon Voters said, didn't matter, doesn't count and we can be ignored.
That would be the vote where we the people told the legislature by a margin of 66% to 34% that illegal aliens (regardless of nationality) could not get a drivers license in the state of Oregon. HB 2015 https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/201...verview/HB2015 Eliminates requirement that person provide proof of legal presence before Department of Transportation issues noncommercial driver license, noncommercial driver permit or identification card. Becomes operative January 1, 2021.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.
??????????????????????????????????
Good morning everyone. All three boys were up before 6am today. Hopefully headed to the range after church to get my new rifle sighted in and see how some different hunting ammo groups.

Well there goes any chance of convincing Jackie to move to Montana if Oregon politics keep going how they are.
