Good morning. 34° and cloudy here. That sounds exciting, Andy!

That's more than a lack of sturdy shipping. That is neglect and abuse by shippers. Did that come through a freight company or was that from a store?
If it was shipped to you, I'd call the company and tell them to send someone out to pick it and to send you a new one. That's just flipping ridiculous!
Ordered through Amazon, delivered by a moving company out of Portland. The only damage to the unit itself is two dented sheet metal panels, only cosmetic. I contacted Amazon and I can either exchange it or if I want to keep it they will give me 20% refund.
Morning Andy, Evan and those to follow.
29.5° currently still dry.
Andy sounds like a fun driveway.
Evan looking at the picture of the box only two dented panels.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 29, dry, but unpleasant looking overcast.
Get to go to court at 0830 this morning on scum bag #2 involved in the arson fire that destroyed our camper.
I think I would exchange it or just flat get a refund Evan. There is no way to know what type of unseen and internal damage there may be. I don't think the 20% is worth taking the risk on that. It has electronic circuit boards that could easily have been damaged. Not worth the risk - and a 20% discount with the visible damage to the unit is a joke IMHO. A regular store would have at least a 50% fire sale discount on that, if they would even sell it at all.
(Home Depot carries that brand and I believe they have a Military Discount)
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Court continued until tomorrow morning. Yep - nothing has changed there.
I have a problem with Home Depot and a chip on my shoulder with them anyway. Not to mention I've got to go clear over to Salem, the far side of Salem to even get to them. I've had a $50 no expiration gift card in the car for them, been there for 5 or 6 years. Strike one was when I picked up a shed kit for my mother in law and found out someone at the Sherwood store was trying to take advantage of my mother in law. Strike 3 came a couple of years ago when they stood me up - never showed up on a job quote, (Salem Store off of Lancaster), They never returned phone calls, then 2 weeks later, called me 3 times wanting me to complete a customer satisfaction survey and wanting to know why I was giving them a big F. Apparently they don't listen to hear the reason when they ask the question.
I'd probably just have Amazon come pick the one you've got up and send you an undamaged one. I'd certainly let them know that any private shipping company that would deliver a box in that shape probably needs to have their contract reviewed. Seems to be a pretty good price for a duel fuel of that rating. HD is $50 higher.
Morning all, and happy Friday Eve. 30 at the compound with 1.5 inches of fresh snow and ice on the ground. Currently raining and freezing to everything. I enjoy snow, but not this freezing rain/snow mix not so much.
Morning all. We also got 1.5 inches of snow over night. I'm pretty sure Mother Nature is saying "hold my beer and watch this." I'm kinda ready for some warm temps. We are chewing through pellets like crazy since it never seems to get above 40 much...
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 32.1, mostly overcast and wet. We do have a hole in the clouds right over the top of us at the moment.
We've gone through 48 1/2 bags of pellets since January 1st. That's 8 more bags than we went through from Sept. 1st to Dec. 31st. Since Jan 1, Figures out to about 5 bags a week. We've gone through a total of 88 bags since the first fire towards the end of September after we got back from the last trip to Diamond Lake.
Have a good day everyone. Off to Court in Mac. We'll see where we are with Scum bag #2 today.
