Good morning. I was right. I’m sore today. My shoulders especially but lower back isn’t great. I picked up the soil in 1 to 1-1/2 yard loads from a place down the road, shoveled it from the truck into my 10 cubic foot dump trailer, towed it around back with my riding mower, then unloaded where Jackie told me to.
Howdy Brown Falcon! Originally I'm from Oklahoma. Been all over the place in the Navy. Settled in Oregon late 2016 and have no plans on leaving lol. Been an arborist since I got here. Recently having to take time off due to that dang cancer. It hadn't got me but it's time to rest and relax. In the mean time I'm doing everything I can to my 97 lariat. About to take the "green pig" up the Nestucca and find some mud tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great week!!! Been scrolling this forum for a while and it's nice to be a part of the community finally!
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 50 under overcast sky, but for now it is dry. Forecast is calling for rain.
Had a good time up at Detroit Lake. We had mother and a family friend, (and mom's part time caretaker), up for Mother's Day. Mother had a blast. Took them for a boat ride around the lake including the side arms and canyons. Saw ducks, geese, ducklings, goslings and even some eagles. Then when we got back to camp, we had a BBQ over the camp fire. They had a blast.
They still don't have the water main for the entire recreation area fixed, but we had plenty of water with us so it wasn't a problem. The area of the campground we stayed in was nearly abandoned so it was great. Filled up for Mothers day weekend, but even at that it wasn't bad. A number of the sites around us were reserved for the weekend, but no one ever showed up. A pair of ducks showed up late the first afternoon up there and had a small battle and took over one set of the dog food and water dishes and teased the Demon Kitty relentlessly. Her tether was a few feet too short and the ducks knew it, and took full advantage of it.

Welcome Jason! What was your rate? I was an aviation airframes/hydraulics tech on A-7 Corsairs (yes, it was a while ago!LOL)
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 52.8 and rain showers. The Warden made me fire up the pellet stove and get it dirty this morning. So much for the spring cleaning.
Say Rich, tell us about your Air Show out at the airport? Sounds rather exciting. At least it has the stick in the muds complaining.

Belated welcome aboard Jason. I'm not quite caught up, but getting close after spending a week in the mountains up at Detroit Lake.
USN here as well. F/E P3 Orion and P3 OMA Tech & QA (Airframes and Hydraulics). West Pac, SE Asia, Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf - and like Pat said, that was so long ago it almost seems like another life time.
Nestucca is the back yard, (depending on which direction you're looking in). What area in this part of the state do you take your boots off in?
