Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 35, overcast, rain showers and wet. We have blue sky off to the West so maybe we will dry out a little.
Morning all.... Planted a few trees in between MFO's (Mandatory Family Outings). Still have a ways to go. Darn pines are so small I cant see where I planted them so need to order some stakes.
Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow...about 1/4". Looks like mother nature has a sense of humor and I need to buy another ton of pellets for the stove. Was hope to not have to do that. Oh well.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Sun has been shining most of the time this morning and it is starting to dry out again.
Have to make a run into town in a couple of minutes and take care of business. Warden was talking about going out to eat so I suspect that means we are going to have to stop at IHOP or Chans.

If you run into problems finding the pellets at a decent price around Mac, Sheridan Building supply just got some Golden Fire in. I think they are around $235/$245 a ton. I decided I'm not going to get another ton this late. Just going down and getting 5 bags at a time ere in Sheridan at $5.25 a bag. They are about 2 blocks down the road. When I do get a ton, they bring them down on a fork lift and slide them into the garage.
You having any problems with deer and elk damage to your trees?
So far the deer have left the fir's alone. I did just order some rigid tubes to keep them at bay though.
Good to know another place to get pellets. Buchanan's sells Packsaddles for $229/tn. I have 5 bags left. I have space for 2 ton so storing them isn't too inconvenient. I have to buy them anyway and then the wife can't claim some "extra space" in the shop. haha.
Survived the trip to McMinnville. Now to get a few things done around here.

Seems like a lot of the stores drop them by mid to end February....To include Lowe's and Walmart. Lowe's, with the Military Discount, are the cheapest in the area, but those "Green" pellets burn worse than wet wood in our stove. Very dirty.
It must be getting Nap time.......
Too cold to work outside....... 5°F this morning..... it is up to 25°F now. Maybe a littler later if the temp keeps going up......

You can always partake in my favorite past time.....1st of the month bookwork - bills and getting the taxes done.
