Good afternoon. Snowed all morning here so not much getting done. I have 300 trees to plant but not gonna happen until the snow goes away. Working on gathering tax stuff and will run some errands in town.Guess I fill a growler while we are in town also. Have a good weekend everyone.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting home from Tualatin (Cabela's) and Salem Costco. Cabela's was kind of nuts! I've never had to look for a parking space there before, but it was hunt and wait this morning. . We got there just before 1100, just ahead of the fish fry demo and sampling. Thought that might have something to do with it but there were only about 10 of us there for that. The gun section, it was crazy. People lined up around the block, their number system almost 100 people behind. The background check desks were all fully manned, every last chair in the waiting area was full, with extra set out. They had so many people waiting to complete the purchase of their guns that a great many were standing filling up any open space in the area and Cabela's couldn't bring coffee and snacks out fast enough for the waiting souls. We noticed that probably 95% of those folks were in the 18 to 25 year old age group. I saw people who had box after box of ammo in their carts. They had a used M1A in the gun library. I was kind of dueling. It had NM front blade, NM rear site with 1/8th MOA adjustment. But, it looked liked it had been used quite a bit and it had the black composite stock, which I really don't care for. So I saved my Cabela Club points for another day.
I’d really like to have a Mini 14, But funds won’t allow at the moment. If new legislation passes it’ll be purchased, along with a few other things, budget be damned.
We've made it up to 41.8. A hole in the clouds is overhead right now but there is sure some nasty looking stuff to the west of us. Hasn't dried out yet.
Finally getting around to making something to eat, we have a German Pancake in the oven.
The temp was up to 50° has slid down to 46.9°, still have blue skies.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Grabbing some lunch and then moving on to hanging a hat, coat and key rack we picked up yesterday.
We're up to 48. Staying mostly sunny, but we have some awful nasty looking clouds surrounding us. Looks like the rain squalls are going mostly to the south of us.
We braved The Toys R Us going out of business sale this afternoon in Salem. It was a madhouse, but we had $50 in gift cards to use up before they close.
We had a gift card for Olive Garden, also, so we had dinner there.
