Morning Evan. It's been raining on and off here for the last 5-6 days. Other than most of Saturday, anyway. I was lucky to get the yard mowed, it had been over two weeks.
I picked up a ton of pellets last week. We started turning on the stove a few days ago since the dogs were cold.
Spent Saturday giving my "tree farm" some much needed love...mostly involving several hours of weed eating. Debating on if I need to plant some more this winter/spring or not. Interesting to see what survived the summer. Looks like 70% made it. Funny how one tree is healthy and 12 feet away another is dead.
Wife and I spent Sunday trolling tidewater for salmon to no avail. Only thing we got was cold and very wet. On the way home we stopped by J's Fish and Chips in Lincoln City to grab a bite and feed our disappointment. Tough year for us fishing wise but I'm not ready to give up yet.
Warden sitting here with her Sherpa flannel shirt on...bad influence on the dogs, but when the pellet stove turns itself on (set for 72°), the dog that came down with diabetes stretches out full length on the hearth. When the stove shuts itself off, he gets up, comes over and sits in front of me and just stares at me....
