Good Morning all! Back to the normal grey, wet, and dreary....
Exactly why I'm done with diesel as well. At 10K miles so far, I have zero regrets going to gas. MPG's are not great but not any worse than my old 7.3 and/or my buddies with 5.9's, 6.7 cummins, or 6.7 fords. I've got more than enough power for our 10K trailer, it's quiet, and I get heat in a couple of minutes! I don't believe the emissions on the newer diesel trucks are all that reliable and to keep a rig like that well beyond the warranty doesn't make sense to me.
That all makes sense. The heaviest I tow on a regular basis is my dad’s 30ft 8,000 pound camping trailer. I haul supplies for house projects fairly often, but not enough to really NEED the diesel.
My dad is currently looking into a different truck and I’m trying to talk him into a newer gas rig. He’s had diesels for the last 20 years. ‘96 F250 7.3, ‘05 Dodge 3500, and currently an ext cab ‘98 Dodge 2500 Cummins with 120k miles. He’s wanting a crew cab so he can haul the dogs and grandkids easier. I’d like to see him in a 2011+ F250 or F350 6.2
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Home from court. Time for lunch and then to get a couple of things done around here along with hopefully a run to the County Dump. New Washing Machine will be here between 1600 & 1800.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Never made it to the dump. There is always tomorrow.
Been having some scattered very heavy showers of mixed snow and rain. Auto wipers on the car hit high speed for about a third of the trip to Dallas.
New washing Machine got here around 1730 this evening. Just had them set it in the mud / utility room. I'll set it up in the morning.
Took the Warden to the Washington Street Steakhouse and Pub in Dallas for her birthday dinner. Got home a little bit ago. Stuffed and need a stomach pump.
Good soggy morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got up to a dusting of snow with more coming down. 32.9, most of the snow melts as soon as it hits the ground here in the river bottom. A few feet up, like roof tops there is a dusting that sticks enough to turn the roofs white.
Saw some of that just up the hill from me. Was pretty. Not so much here in the river bottom. Very little stuck on the bushes and tall grass and the roof tops, all gone now.
Good soggy evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Wardens .380 is back from S&W. Have to run up to Cabela's in the morning to pick it up. They also have a 12 fishing pole ceiling mount fishing pole rack I want to take a look at.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 33.2, overcast and wet. No rain at the moment, but the weather radar isn't looking pretty and the forecast is calling for frozen mix.
