Hmmm, I've lost contact in the years since I moved back home from Roseburg, but you wouldn't have happened to have known two brothers who worked out of Roseburg and Elk Hunted up Rock Creek and the Big Camass area's - camped at Briggs Camp for a few years......
Oh my! We have probably met then and you probably know who I'm talking about. Last name same as armored truck company. I was a Motor Officer in Roseburg from 83 to July of 93....
Ha, best friend and one of my hunting partners from ODFW. Know his just retired brother pretty well too. Just saw them end of January at the umpqua Fishing Derby kids fishing day at Cooper Creek and the banquet. Stayed with dl
I've lost track of just about everybody from those days. We still go down and visit a friend of ours out in the Green District. (her husband - like a brother to me was murdered at our elk camp in 2003 at Briggs Camp next to Stump Lake). We take her grandkids fishing at Diamond Lake. We do spend 4 to 6 weeks at Dia Lk every year. Our first trip this year will be June 28 through July 15th. Thielson View is home away from home.
Haven't been up to Cooper Creek since we moved back home. That used to be one of our "hang outs" with the boat and the kids when we couldn't get away for the weekend to Dia. Lk. Kids had quite a few birthday parties there at Cooper Creek.
I'll bet some of these might look familiar........
Oh ya. Spent many a night working out of the cabin. Also spent a bunch of time putting foundation under the bunkhouse. Good memories and that lake is a special place
