Morning all! Nice to have decent weather and some daylight after work. Changed the oil in the truck for the first time...my first time anyway yesterday after work. Not near as clean as the 2000 PSD but I did install an ez-drain valve so hopefully that will keep the mess to just the oil filter. At least the the oil change is half the cost it use to be so that part is nice.

That’s one of the reasons I probably won’t get another diesel truck after my current one. Oil changes on the 6.0 are super easy, but expensive. Fuel filter changes are messy and also expensive. I love the power, and the fuel mileage is good for an 8,000 pound vehicle, but maintenance is expensive and parts to fix anything that breaks is expensive.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Home from town. Have to get a path carved out in the garage and things set up in the mud/utility room for the new washing machine. Court case was continued so I have to be back in court at 0900. New court house security sucks. Their x-ray machine saw my hidden handcuff key in my wallet and they wouldn't let me into the courthouse with it! I guess they are afraid I might try and escape....
Good Morning all! Back to the normal grey, wet, and dreary....

Exactly why I'm done with diesel as well. At 10K miles so far, I have zero regrets going to gas. MPG's are not great but not any worse than my old 7.3 and/or my buddies with 5.9's, 6.7 cummins, or 6.7 fords. I've got more than enough power for our 10K trailer, it's quiet, and I get heat in a couple of minutes! I don't believe the emissions on the newer diesel trucks are all that reliable and to keep a rig like that well beyond the warranty doesn't make sense to me.
