Blocks do not change the pinion angle as much as shackles. If it is a 350 the overloads will be closer to the pads with shackles. Bump stop will be closer with the shackles.
Anyone have a 60 gallon titan or S&B tank with the rear end lowered? Wanting to do the PMF 1.5 or 2 inch rear blocks and adding a 60 gallon S&B tank in the near future.
A lot of info in here- anybody lower a CCLB? Did you go with the tapered blocks? I’m going to do 2” blocks and see how it looks w 295’s. I want 37’s but clearance issues are in play.
Wow this is a long thread, well i have the same dilemma needing to lower the rear of my 2020 F450 4x4 Crew Cab DRW. So I saw one thread by VooDooRob that said the part numbers for the shorter blocks and U-Bolts were for a F450 but I wanted to know if they would work on the new 2020. I just hooked up to my 5th wheel trailer and do not have enough room between the tailgate and the underside of my 5th wheel travel trailer.
Well I just went out to measure the block on my rear axle and their is only a 1" block so I really don't know what I can do to lower the rear of my truck. There is a 2" factory rake on my truck.
I had a chance to crawl under an 2020 f250 and 350 today. Both appear to have the same 2” block. I can’t be certain since I didn’t have my reading glasses on, but it looked like the back side was just a touch over 2 in, and the front a touch under. My guess is the new 2020 block has a built in taper just like our 2017-2019 blocks just at a lower height. No telling when they’d be available or at what cost, but it looks like a viable alternative to purchasing the aftermarket or older truck (no taper) blocks. Other than the block height, I didn’t see any difference in the suspension to the 2019’s sitting near by.

according to a local dealer the 2020 blocks are about $90 each (way more than the earlier blocks). Fords online parts catalog isn’t up for the 2020s yet. But at anywhere close to $90, the PMF blocks are a better deal, and better block, especially if you plan on adding air bags.
I have 3.25" blocks right now and am ordering 2" blocks. Can anyone tell me what Ford U-bolt's I should order? I haven't found anything that shows lengths of the OEM U-bolts.
There were several mentions of U-bolt lengths and their part numbers above (the search function should help you find 'em), but you really don't need new U-bolts. The U-bolts are torque-to-yield, and you will be using "fresh" threads further up the U-bolt. Apparently, it is the U-bolt threads which are torque-to-yield because I've seen no mention of having to replace the nuts each time. Of the two parts, the nuts may be a harder steel than the U-bolts. If you reuse the U-bolts, you'll want to trim off the excess afterwards.

Thanks, makes sense on the threads. Didn't think of it that way.
I did search but wasn't clear which ubolts go with the 2" blocks. Maybe I'm just slower than usual today.
I just removed the 2 " blocks from my 01 F250 4x4. the ride and braking greatly increased. I had to installed new u-bolts since the existing ones had the bolts at the end of the thread area. I used u-bolts from Husky, rockauto has lowest price for them. Husky Spring - Home
