Getting ready to celebrate my Mom’s 80th birthday with a ‘big party’ tomorrow! (Her birthday was yesterday.) I’ve been blessed to live 2 doors down from her for the last 20yrs and would not trade that time for anything in the world. This amazing lady still works her butt off every day with her cabin rental business, maintaining our 20acre ‘family compound’ (she mows 8-12hrs a week in the summer - sometimes she lets us help ) and taking care of her barn critters (currently alpacas, goats, chickens and a beefalo
cow).
Our high today will be about 81* and lows are still upper 50’s and low 60’s. We actually ran AC in the house for a few days a couple weeks ago, but don’t expect we’ll want it again for awhile with current forecast. It’s still hot as hell to us, but obviously nothing to complain about as the rest of the country appears to suffer. Evenings at the lake have eased our discomfort and the water skiing is probably the only exercise I LIKE to do!!

Well, I've always been good at taking things apart. Putting them back together was never my strong suit. I could send it back working, reassembled in the same nonworking condition, or a bag of pieces
But really I'd be too afraid of messing something old like that up for you. A 40 yr old non-chiming GF clock with no sentimental value is a different story
Here it is all cleaned up next to my Grandparent's piano. Messed with it some this morning after work. Thought I got it chiming on the quarters, but it got bound up again before the hour strikes. Oh well. It'll get some extensive TLC later

Eric will be here in a few hours and we will all be headed your way tomorrow mid day. We are coming up through Helen and then the scenic byway through the mountains. I don't suppose Eric has been that way to your property as he comes from AL.
I see the weather is to be near 79° in Blairsville tomorrow and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again!

It was my mother's that she bought way before I was born when she was stationed in Germany. Pretty cool little clock that we may pursue getting repaired one day, but there is always something else going on.
I look forward to seeing the GF clock on one of our trips cross country in the future.
Well horology isn't something I'd be your go to for. I assembled a crap ton of models in my youth, but they weren't family heirlooms. There's actually a lot of repair places on the web you could look into. Just depends on how much you'd want to spend. Also a load of you tube videos out there on repairs if you want to diy it a time or two first
Wifenagging says I should get some sleep b4 work tonight. Catch ya later

Okay. Maybe I’ve seen too many Kiki Challenge fails.

I remember those days Mark, we went from a small square Baler that you had to load the wagons, to kick Baler that threw the bales into the wagon for you. It was summer before I left for the military we bought a big square baler 3x7’ bales The tip the scale right around 1500 to 2000 pounds. We went from a 65 hp tractor on the baler to a 280hp tractor just to handle it.
1-800-REN-TWES is on night shift right now, so he is somewhat unavailable for pouring of large oil containers. (I am not a vendor or sponsor and in no way affiliated with 1-800-REN-TWES).

Chimes and strikes on its own now. Now to put the access panels back on, reset the time and adjust the pendulum length after it gained 1 minute these past 2 days
